Someone on here was printing mounts that replaced the current mount on a SolarStorm and would then fit a standard GoPro mount. Can’t remember who it was now but there great.

try searching all the well known GPX sites for each ride usually brings up a result. You can also email the author and ask! thats what I did and was rewarded with with a rar file pack of the whole books worth!

Thanks for the suggestion, just tried this but unfortunately they don’t have any for the lakes book :( Same with view ranger as far as I can tell.

I’ll try a search on some GPX sites

    I can’t fault these:

    https://www.co2cartridges.co.uk/mosa-co2-mini-tyre-inflator-pump-inc-2-x-16g-threaded

£5 including two cartridges, very compact and work well.

Got the same one, can’t fault it.

Just picked up a Touring myself, they were in Halfords for £133 the other week. If you don’t need all the training functions of the 810 / 1000 then its great.

Like the look of the Decathlon one

Best tool I’ve bought for a while, snapped a normal chain whip trying to get a stuck cassette off, bought this and it came off a lot easier!

Quick route I’ve drawn out for you –

    https://www.bikemap.net/en/route/3636401-gpx-for-danw/

Takes you from the centre to Philips and onto Clifton Country Park then back. Doesn’t take in the other 2 red trails but you will pass them and can easily add them in.

Be careful thought recently been some bike thefts in Manchester more on the other side though –

Clayton Vale is definitely worth a blast round if your close by. You can also pick up National Cycle route 6 in most of Manchester, following this will take you right into Philips Park (about 30mins), there you have 3 short red trails and a few blues with other bits to link up with.

I’m sure there is more places to ride but that’s the side of Manchester I’m familiar with.

New Five frame, all your 26er parts. Upgrade to 27.5 fork and wheels as and when your current ones fail.

Definitely do 1:1 if you can, I’ve done both group sessions and 1:1, although with different guides, the 1:1 stuff allows you to quickly move on if you can master a skill and also allows you to spend longer on weak areas.

I’ve got a reverb but before that I had the tmars dropper. My tmars was the old model and lasted about a year then needed a quick strip down and regrease, lasted over another year then I sold it on, for the price they are spot on I think. There no reverb but there £50.

I just got one from Halfords as there on offer at the min. I was after the same thing just GPS and think it’s spot on.
Few setting changes from ridewithgps set it up nicely –

Navigation specific settings for your Edge Touring.

Click the Wrench Icon on the main menu of the unit.
    Select Routing Options
    Change Routing Mode to Cycling
Change Calculation Method to Minimize Distance
Ensure Lock On Road is set to Off
Enter Avoidance Setup and disable all (keeps the unit from changing your pre-planned route based on its own map data)
Change Recalculation to either Prompted or Off (Important!!! If you lose GPS signal or go slightly off course, recalculation will usually short cut you to the end of your route. You almost never want it, so we set it to Prompted).
Course Turn Guidance must be OFF. This feature only works when the device recalculates the route, which you don’t want if you are using a TCX route.
Off Course Warnings is Enabled. Venture too far away from the route and the device will let you know.

Also you can’t connect HRM unless you buy the plus model.

How about a secure, low profile Garmin eTrex mount?
Garmin can’t seem to do one properly.

This is what you should do, something similar to this but for oversized bars. You would sell a lot as lots have the Etrex

I believe an adapter to Garmin quarter turn is a better solution: https://www.amazon.com/Rec-mountsTM-Handhelds-eTrex%C2%AE30x-Touch35t-GM-GHG/dp/B017G5458E

Might attach to the handlebars better but still looks like the same mounting for the Garmin, so will still come loose from the mount itself.

I agree, Garmin version is terrible. I’m interested in one but it needs slightly changing to 31.8mm bar mount, unfortunately I don’t have the skills.
