If you buy the bits from separate retails you can get it for the same price in the UK for the last 6 months or so. I guess it’s nice to buy it as one package from one retailer.

I’ve had fantastic service from Merlin- everything from warranty issues to ordering the wrong item. They’ve been great.

Not sure it’ll help my credibility though..

Lets get the thread back on topic! Brant, have you let the chap know about this thread? Would be great to hear from him. Always like to read input from the guys behind the brand/design (e.g.- You, Ben, Andy & Cy).

Typical.. follow the PSA and end up spending £65 with them

I’ve seen someone run a Knard on a Stans Crest rim 8O !
It works in the sense that it doesn’t burp and rolls, but it loses all of it’s benefits- by pinching the tyre you don’t get the large footprint and it make the tyre an odd shape.

Just Riding Along build some great wheels. Good price, great communication and a nice bunch.

Front wheel builder& rear wheel builder

The site allows you to build fully customer wheels with every option you’d want. It took them 2 weeks to build mine, and that included ordering in more rims. They all come with fitted tubeless tape too.

MTB. One of my favorites was actually a local loop when I was in Essex. It wasn’t a hard or particularly long cycle, but it made me smile and everything clicked.

Depends entirely on the company! Some 2016 stock won’t be out until April ’16, whilst others have had 2016 bikes out for a good 6+ months now. It’s a case of follow the bike that you want and noting when the new range is going to be released.

    Interesting! Thanks thisisnotaspoon.
So trying to build something like this in a garage isn’t going to kill me?
I remember a surfboard builder dying young because of the resin and not using a mask.

That Giant factory article is interesting. Only had a quick read but it appears to be an okay place to work. They still don’t have great masks though- wouldn’t fancy breathing in resin/carbon for a living.

Have you looked on AirBnB? Lots of options locally- from cheap dobules in a house to a whole cottage to yourself.

I do as above- I take the shields off and pack them with grease. They last me a years riding through all weather- way over 2,500m. Even then some have been saved by repacking them.

I’m interested in the two as well..
Whats the difference internally of the two jackets? Is the Singletrack a shell and Mt500 a more layered option? Trying to work out if it’s worth an extra £60 overt the singletrack.

Make sure you get the replacement frame in medium- it’ll sell quicker as 650b.

Just ordered a oval ring for post winter refresh. Will be a few months before I can see what the hype is about.

It’s a 32t, but I’ve read that the max. sizes up to near 34t size.

gravesendgrunt- don’t knock the geometry until you’ve tried it. I’m 5’8”-9” and the medium looks spot on for my preference. I’m riding a medium T129 that has a longer TT than the Edit and I’d prefer it longer still to be honest.

All these colours look great, but limiting it to the 2 most boring ones isn’t ideal.

Yeah, the warranty isn’t great.. Bird have the warranty nailed for a UK direct sales brand.

Also, from their instagram ‘the production frames have slightly revised cable routing and a bottle cage mount on the top of the downtube‘. They need to update their website!

I actually really like them on the raw frame! Might be a bit too busy on a frame with colour.

I’ll give it 3 months and you’ll be looking for a bigger car…
I’ll take that bet; nothing wrong with that kind of distance in that sized car – a relatively modern one at that, equipped with quality seats.

    Small update for anyone interested..
I’ve covered just over 11,000 miles in 5 months in the trusty Fiesta. It returns 57mpg at a good speed on the daily commute on the hilly bit of the A34. It’s a great comfy car. Excellent to squeeze through small gaps on country roads and old streets of town. Fits 2 bikes comfortably in the back with front wheels off and back seats down. Won’t be getting rid of the car for sometime. Cheap motoring :-)

In that case, I’m hoping they come with bottle cage mounts and in bright colours (as in the photos). Then I’ll probably go for it.

Edit: There’s a drawing on the site that has water bottle cage mounts..

I really like that. Looks like a Pyga/Transition but for less money. Geometry’s good too. Much prefer the design to the Bird Aeris and the site is fantastic.

Lack of bottle cage mount is a deal breaker for me. I used it for a bottle and to strap tools to. I don’t see how taking it away makes it simpler.. if you dont use them it doesn’t compromise the bike so why not keep them. Maybe cost?

This looks awesome! Evil bikes are the best looking in the industry (IMO).
I would love to have a go on one but I think the Following is all the bike I need for my normal riding.

Just finished my 650b+ build- Zealous Division Mk2 with i35s on ProIIs with WTB TB tyres. This setup up has masses of mud clearance at the back. The revelation has plenty of clearance too.

My front wheel is feeling a bit rough.
What size are the bearings trailhound101? Are they the same front and back?
