    Tow bar rack for me

But you could just buy a large bike bag and wheel bags to carry them and the mud

used pf jones for a removal witter towbar jobby on a mondeo with rear parking sensors – they were very good

nearly went for the sportback myself, and i do have a strada atera 3 rack (1000×720) and it is just as wide as the DL2 (1000×520) and it just fits into the rear of a mondeo hatchback boot – which are pretty big, so get the tape measure out

they do lock to the towbar though

bummer! you’ve gone and cracked it!

I doubt silverfish will be much help if you have had it resprayed, I’d get it repaired at a quality steel bike builder myself fella – it’s a mk1 sovereign built out of 853 and 725 reynolds steel, and nothing like the newer ones ( different tubes, different geometry, better dropouts, designed by Dave Weagle) as It’s the Long version with the 16.5″ seat tube

As far as I’m aware you are the third owner of that frame, as I bought it off jncarpenter forum member off mtbr – must be 5 or 6 years old

It’s a classic, get it fixed and continue to ride it/enjoy it, I’ve never ridden a HT as good as that one

strangely i’ve been looking into this recently also

from past experiences with stan’s flow rims on hope pro II’s (both 29er and 26er rims) – thats what i’d build up in 650b flavour with supercomp dt swiss spokes

split my peroneal tendon in my ankle last May – i opted not for surgery (big wuss) and put up with the constant pain and 14 months of physio so far… but physio did use kinesio tape on me between feb-may and it did seem to me to be better than the regular tape to support my ankle

maybe try some matching socks to hide the tape? :D

For the house use ‘Acclaim’ spray

For the cats use ‘Frontline’ drops

Both can be bought from your Vet, not cheap but work and last

i’m still searching for a steel, 120mm 29er ht frame, non-ebb, short chain stays, can fit a 2×10 crank, tapered steerer and fit a decent rear tyre – plus moon on a stick plz – hoping the buzzard was going to be the one :-)

According to the nice man on Radio 4 it would need to rain from now to December, without let up, to avert another drought.

    and from the bbc today

Mike Hegarty, operations director for Sutton and East Surrey Water, said
“Normally winter rainfall recharges the aquifers. The recharge is unprecedented and is the highest increase in water levels ever recorded in our area at this time of year.”

is it time to sort out leaks in the system now?

or is that not a priority now the aquifers are charged back up?

mine manages round the easy bits of delamere, though i’ve never found the perfect tarmac/muddy track tyre so i just use schwalbe land cruisers 35c

got lucky with the wheelset (crc cheapness) – fsa rd460 cyclo cross disc wheelset

quite like the slackline and know two people who have one, and both like them

geometry is similar to the brodie ti holeshot with the big exception that the chainstay length on the slacky is much shorter

I’ve previously done something similar on a FS bike by using a DT Swiss 10mm RWS skewer ( which fits normal vertical dropouts) but requires 10mm adaptors on the rear hub (i’ve done this on DT Swiss hubs and Hope hubs – don’t know about Kings though)

Not a huge difference but noticeable (stiffer) when riding

Just about to stick the Mud X’s back on my 29er!

I find them a bit too narrow on the front, but excellent as a rear mud TL tyre – although I struggle to get them inflated on bonty rhythm rims without a co2 cartridge

Yep – one on the front of a 29er HT on bonty tlr rims (measures 56mm wide, exactly what is printed on the side) also running Eskar front, Purg rear on a Soul – prefer the Purgatory

    It’s all my fault!

I stopped the mud tyres off my bike two weeks ago, and since then the rain has hardly stopped! :o

Now thinking about refitting the mud x’s cause the xdx’s can’t cope with these conditions! And It’s only the middle of summer!!!!

went on saturday night for the whole 3D IMAX experience and was quite impressed overall, picture and sound was brill – 7.5/10 for the movie

understood the opening scenes i.e. the engineers planting new DNA life on earth, and suggest that they came back at some point to wipe out the dinosaurs and start mammals off instead? but why chill out with humans 35,000 years ago and tell them where they came from / or stay away from?

then they plan to return to wipe out humans at the time jesus has setting in motion a new start 2,000 years ago?

why instantly kill the humans who wake you up, and pursue Shaw in the life boat? okay, he was a bit grumpy about being woken up, but that was not very nice :)

would suggest that after the final scenes (the alien popping out of the engineer) this was a female alien, it survives on LV 233 to find another engineer ship, lays eggs, another engineer then gets infected, flies off, dies (via major heartburn) and crashes on LV 426 – hence the start of ‘Alien’ – as John Hurt and co discover the dead engineer

and as the Prometheus mission was a weyland enterprise, only the weyland corporation could send help to LV 233 – which they didn’t do – maybe under Weylands instructions? but it is the Weyland corporation that direct the Nostromo towards an emergency signal/warning signal of the derelict alien spacecraft in ‘Alien’.

and why didn’t Vickers turn left to avoid the crashing engineer ship – i almost shouted it out in the bloody cinema – ‘RUN LEFT YOU STUPID WOMAN!!!!’….

No issues with my rhythm 29er bonty rims using bonty tl tyres and rim strips here

I’ve used specialized 2bliss fine on UST 26er rims as well, but found 2bliss tyres tend to lose their pressure over a week even with loads of wheel milk

Found them just as grippy but roll faster than the nics
