Did my cellar up a year ago as it was really manky. Took the stone flags up as where some were missing we would get puddles. Ended up concreting with a dpm. The walls I dont think had been painted for decades so scraped all the loose crap off, pva’d it and just used a masonry paint on them. Whilst the wall gets damp where the old coal shute was the rest are fine. If i paint it again i’ll just go over the stains with a stain block.
Make sure you’ve got some ventilation. I just put some drain pipe up through the blocked up chute to the outside.

I’m in Rawtenstall so will keep a look out. Should be easy to spot a yellow bike.
Scrotes pinched my P7 earlier this year. Still looking though probably ended up on the back of a pikey wagon.

    Love his shows.
Loved the one of him talking about his upbringing.

” Back then not only could you hit your own children. You could hit someone else’s. “

” We’d never have our drawings stuck up on the refrigerator because my parents took them for what they were……crap.” 😀

Looking at something like this when I get my new shed. Charges up a car or leisure battery so should last a while.

If anyone wants a camp site for next years Dyfi then can I recommend Bwlchgwyn Farm just across the estuary from Barmouth. Stunning place.

I’ve used Colron coloured Beeswax range a few times and really like it. Haven’t used it on a dining table but the cabinet and small table I used it on a couple of years ago has easily stood up to all the knocks and spilt drinks the kids throw at them.
It does say, not to use on previously varnished wood but I’ve just stripped and waxed an old chest of drawers that were in a very dark brown varnish. Now it’s a lovely light oak. Smells nice too.

Well my missus used to like cross country racing at school so I know that I can get her to do plenty of hill walking.

    What about other work outs?

Have you tried simple dead lifts?
Strengthened my back a lot and I no longer get my back pain after hurting it a couple of years ago.
Seems strange lifting weights to improve your back but it works.

This sort of thing seems to be creeping into Radio 4 as well, which used to be somewhere I could rely on for information/content.
Some of the programmes tend to go on about someones personality too much.

    Bastards. 🙂

I really need to do the Dyfi again. Such a fantastic event and the area is stunning.
2008 since I last did the Dyfi Enduro and another rider complimented me on my old Singletrack whiskey jersey. 🙂

    I need some more mugs.

Are there any electric bikes that are capable off road yet? I know I might as well ask how long is a piece of string, but I don’t just mean tow paths.
Would they be legal on bridleways?

How far are you through it chorlton

Started it mid March and like you had piddled around with split routines for years but SL just works and you feel that it works.

I need to get my hands on some squat racks, because, before long I got to the point where anymore weight would have been too much to press over my head.
Making it easier to landscape our garden is a definite bonus too. 🙂

Stronglifts here too. Great progressive workout where you don’t have to mess around with a hundred different exercises, just the five and you soon start to see and feel the results. Girlfriend’s well impressed. 😀

Doing squats made a big difference for me. Climbing became much easier and doing shoulder and arm exercises will benefit you too. I just use weights on a barbell and have never try kettle bells so don’t really know about them.

I’ll take some pics tomorrow and post here. They are old (2002 I think) but in perfect working order so I’d rather see them go to someone and make use of them than being in the shed.

Would have thought RS Darts are ok. What travel are you after, 100mm?
I’ve got some old Marzocchi bombers knocking around somewhere you can have for the price of postage.

32:17 for me here in the Pennines. Seems about right although I do have a 16 for extra pain. Bit too much of a struggle though.

I still think a volery of these are hard to beat.
    Gorgeous and resourceful little bird.

But watching Peregrine in flight anytime, hunting or just messing around chasing crows make the hairs on my neck stand up.

Thanks for the replies. Yes they’re low voltage with a transformer and I do know the socket I am using works and have tried various fuses.
Back to the shop me thinks.

Had a 53 1.9D for a few years and I thought the engine was great. Sold it though cause freckles of rust started to appear all down one side which I thought strange. Great vans though.

    What stumpyjon said.
I grew up in Bacup and quite like the place although I live closer to Rawtenstall now. Bacup has conservation status so you’re not going to have the place pissed around with like Rawtenstall. House prices can only rise really in the top end of the valley so you can get a very nice bargain.
I think I know the place you’re talking about and does seem to be a nice spot. Although the nearby council tip is set to close easing cars going up the hill. Planning permission has been granted for a residential caravan site there if that is likely to bother you. But then you’re thinking of moving to Stacksteads anyway, so I doubt it. 😉

I use industrial bleach, mix it half and half with water and put it on with a garden pump sprayer. Give it a scrub with stiff sweeping brush then rinse after 30 mins if you want to walk on it. Better and quicker than power wash which breaks up the pointing.
