Interesting that there is not a single person sticking up for the PFI idiot that is Ed Balls.

Yes but for the odious git that is Mr Balls, its a u turn that has no credibility coming from his beady eyed chubby face.
The man takes scheming and manipulation to a new and brutal level. Labour need to ditch him and bring forward a new tranch of leaders. Hillary Benn and Darling would be a start, I trust both of them to deliver a credible alternative to the other two parties.

No such thing as too much power, just badly pointed power!

I agree its better to be moaned at than mown down.

I use a Troute liberator, on full but aim it down 5 degrees. The spread is good and similar to a cars dipped beam.
I then have a Hope vision 2 on my helmet, on full and slightly dipped, but ready to be used tactically to make sure drivers have seen me.

I use both on steady beam when dark and have separate flashing LEDS for getting the “i am a cyclist not a slow motorbike” thing.

Here is profile of ride Home:

You can see Harewood bank at 8 miles in and the run from Sainsburys to Woodlesford down Bullerthorpe lane at 19 miles in.

    Hot bath now!

Office job (not always at a desk, but very limited exercise in my job).

    Made it home.

The Audi drivers were VERY polite, esp the Q7 driver who waited 3 mins to get to a safe spot before overtaking.

I disagree on the 7dayshop (the red, silver and blue ones). I had those before eneloops and after a couple of years they were dead.

I do the FLT contracts for my company.
IF you are not lifting at height (ie need to offload from curtain siders or put away in racking) then pallet trucks are better.
    Three main types.
Hand pallet trucks are about £230 each and can be had from Atlet, Toyota, Linde, Jungeheinrich and others.

Powered pallet trucks are great and can be had in different guises.
If moving any distance you can get ones with a platform for the user to stand on. At the simple level there are cheap ones that use a smaller battery and you just walk along with them.

Most of the models have engineer settings that can restrict speed. Some have pin number access and impact sensors built in so you can log who has crashed them!

Still nothing better than regular Sanyo Eneloops.
There are some new Eneloop XX cells out, but for most uses the regular ones are better.

Well 2800lumen of front lights and 4 rear LED lights (including a Holy Handgrenade) and a Flashing LED tabbard thingy should be enough to make sure that any Audi driver can see me.

    Made it.
    446m acent and 390m decent.
Took 30 mins longer than my best summer times (a vaguely embarrasing 1h45…but I always pootle into work otherwise I am knackered for a the day).

Liberator placement is so the power lead doesn’t get in the way of the Garmin.

    Return leg this evening!

Nah! I grew up in Seacroft, its my terroir.
Besides I always carry a couple of chicken nuggets and a half smoked Lambert and Butler to distract the local 9 year olds if they look excessively feral.
Any how…dole day was tuesday so older ones wont be up.

walk under a ladder, break a mirror

If I get knocked of by a window cleaners van and take his wing mirror out I could do both these together.

Its the road through Wike that scares me for ice.

Actually what you need is something mud proof, east leeds mud is sticky and gloopy, Temple Newsham has its own special kind of gloop this time of year.

Football as a game can be very graceful and spectacular, unfortunately for me this is massively overshadowed by the fact that in the UK it also represents much of the worst of our culture.
The behaviour of the players (many of them), the behaviour of the fans (a small minority) and the fact that the whole thing is driven by greed turns me off in a big way.

Football is a horrid sport, played by thugs and watched (and paid for) by idiots.

If you get 40mpg probably not worth changing.
My 1.6 Audi A2 gets 48mpg, but it weighs nuffin and has a mega lean burn engine….oh and people think you are a shopping mum and try to overtake irrespective of speed I drive it.

Wensleydale with cranberries…yum. A good cheddar ( nice orkney cheddar in JS recently)’, but my favourite of all is parmesan, i could eat it all day till my arteries seized like a VW multi vane turbo.

It will work fine. However do yourself a favour and get some good batteries and a smart charger.
Sanyo Eneloop batteries are the best on the market and from Amazon or similar are not expensive.
A smart charger will charge each battery on its own circuit and avoid overcharging cells with kills them quickly.

I take an interest in this, but have never seen an objective and credible study into the differences.

    I have a Hollywood F10:

    http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=7281

Yours for £60 delivered from Leeds with an extra ratchet strap to double secure it. Lightly used.

I now have a Thule G5 towbar rack so have no need for the F10.
