Yes the Vera wang lasts a good long time. I also like the Chanel Sport stox mentions. It’s more fresh and a daytime smell. Good in summer

Vera Wang is my current favourite. Kinda sweet but not too sweet. Also has tobacco extract, this sounds Wierd but it works!

From the website: Vera Wang for men is a rich and warm masculine fragrance which combines the scents of green mandarin leaf, crisp yuzu zest, nutmeg, leather, anise, sandalwood and warm tobacco.

I get lots of comments about it.

Rolland AA. Woeful for the game. Pens all over the place. I think Ulster had 14 in the end which is crazy considering they were the dominant home team.

No worries DD. Banter only it is!!

Hardly relieved. Would have been a lot more had the ref not been AA’s best pal.

£20 to your nominated charity if we don’t go further than you lot in the beer cup?

Is it true that WRU has changed the signage in the national stadium to French to make the national xv feel at home?

I have played school boy and senior rugby in Ulster including matches against Carrickfergus the school in the article.

I have to say that particularly in school any hint of concussion meant that you were not allowed to train or play for 3 weeks. This was very strictly adhered to and you could only return when the rugby coach signed you off.

I think the problem comes when the player ignores the symptoms and continues to play without alerting the coach /physio to the issue. I am as guilty of this as anyone.

In response to the Op’s question I would say that I would be happy for my son to play rugby, indeed I would be delighted if he did choose to. I would take him to the local club who have a great set up and he would be taught how to play the game properly, for example where to put your head in a tackle. Of course I would worry about injury but not any more than I would worry about him in any other sport.

When I gave up rugby due to work and family commitments I took up cycling, I’ve had worse injuries from cycling than I ever had in 20 years of rugby.

EDIT – It probably doesn’t encourage parents to send their kids to rugby clubs when they see the likes of Smith against the Lions in the summer stagger back onto the field. Thankfully any grassroots rugby I’ve been involved in have been more cautious in their handling of head injuries.

Anyone see the Leinster northampton game and able to report on how North went at 13? He could be a real threat there for wales in the future.

Well the Irish press reckon he outplayed BOD so he must have done well

‘Even Brian O’Driscoll, majestic in Franklin’s Gardens, was rendered a humdrum figure on his home turf, outplayed by George North, the giant Welshman shifting to midfield after the away side were also forced into a late reshuffle.’

I’ve taken a motorhome in NZ and it was the best holiday ever.

We used Kea Campers and their website is full of very useful information.

    http://nzrentals.keacampers.com/en/default.aspx

Camper vans are good in NZ as you can park more or less anywhere without issue. It means that if you are driving by a nice lake and want to stop for the night you can.

Its generally cheaper to travel South to North as most people got N to S so you get a discount to go the other way. I would say three weeks would be grand to have a good look round most of the main sites.

The flights aren’t too bad and if you can fly Air NZ as they have decent leg room.

Most of the terrible signings at Liverpool; El-Hadji Diouf for around £10 million. Bruno Cheyrou, Salif Diao and of course Andy Carroll. None of them were fit to lace boots at Liverpool.

DD, Souey was a legend as a player, hard as nails and a great competitor. I do however share your opinion of him as a manager and person.

I used to buy my grandad a different single malt each year for Christmas and I remember finding one that was black in colour, oddly it was called a black whisky in the description but I can’t remember the brand.

    My favourites are:

Personna platinum. Very forgiving and can achieve a good close shave for regular work days. Very good for a quicker than normal shave if you are running late of a morning.

Feathers. As David suggests not as scary as peple suggest just let the weight of the razor do the work and don’t apply any pressure. Very close shave but loose the sharpness after two shaves.

Gillette 7 o clock Yellow. My favourite all rounder. Fairly aggressive but you can get as close a shave as feather but a bit more forgiving if you are half asleep. I get 4 good shaves from a blade.

The other item I would recommend is Proraso pre shave cream. It’s excellent stuff and really reduces irritation.

    Yes my favourite jacket.

I’ve a Prism and a TNF Redpoint, both are very good but the Montane fit is a bit less ‘american’

I’d suggest the Prism only be used on cold walks under 5 degrees or you will be too warm.

A Chumba VF2 – terrible thing, flexy rear end and it just didn’t ride like the angles suggested it should.

Cove G Spot – bouncy sofa no matter what shock I tried and not even that great pointing down. Lasted about 3 months

I’d look for tow things, one the kid is comfortable in and the one with the lowest back profile, especially if most of your time is going to be spent going shopping. The smaller the turning circle the better!

For me that meant the Little life traveler which now seems to be called the Cross country S2

If you are going to get 6 bottles experiment a little and try some from different areas with differing flavour profiles to see what else you like or dislike.

Given that you like Glen Moray and Dalwhinnie you could try the likes of Balvennie, Glenfiddich, Glengoyne (18 yo is very nice), Macallan.

If you wanted to try something slightly more peated then Highland Park, Talisker or Bunnahabhain would be worth a taste.

Heavily peated options like Laproig and Lagavulin are very peaty and not to my taste but worth a try in the pub to see if you like it.

If you like a coastal tipple then Oban, Old Pulteney or Scapa are my personal favourites. Old Pulteney 21 yo is my all time favourite. Bit pricey though.

Don’t discount Irish whiskey, it tends to be triple distilled and very smooth. Jameson, Black Bush (both blends) and Bushmills 10 yo malt are all excellent.

Irish is 80 Euros and Uk is about £80 IIRC. If you are getting kids the Irish are mush cheaper.

My wife has the Montane Prism, and she says it is useless, she is always cold in it!

    Women are always cold!

I’ve a Prism and a TNF Redpoint, both are very good but the Montane fit is a bit less ‘american’

I’d suggest the Prism only be used on cold walks under 5 degrees or you will be too warm.

Bowe isn’t good enough defensively to play 13 and he’s badly off form at the minute. The long term replacement appears to be Payne once he’s Irish qualified next summer. Our best prospect for 13 however was young Nevin Spence sadly

Not many good centres around at all.

Even BOD is getting a hard time in the Irish press.
