So they can do this but won’t set up a collections/returns counter in Portsmouth.
Instead you have to wait 2-3 days to receive something from less than a mile away.
I personally think they’re a great company and I’m pleased they’re doing well and employing a lot of local people.
But ordering stuff from CRC and getting it sooner than a place a mile away?

Having owned a 21″ Scandal V2 and Lurcher I can honestly say the Lurcher is better hands down.
Whilst the Scandal is very cheap and light it was extremely harse to ride, the Lurcher smoothes out all the trail buzz and leaves you feeling much better after a hard ride.
I never weighed the frames side by side but did have them both in hand and the Lurcher felt lighter to me.
    Just my opinion obviously…

    Ditto.
For the money it’s great IMO.
Had one for around 5 years also.

Edit: The Roughneck one that is!

    I had a Hormann fitted 5yrs ago to our garage build. 14’6″ x 7′
Excellent quality, only ever needed re-tensioning of the door springs once(5 min job).
Never been serviced and the motor and running gear look/sound no different then when new.

    Nearly finished the SS conversion.
It’s now running DT Swiss forks and Bontrager tubeless rims, thanks to TomDeBruin off here :D

Now just need to fit rotors, a decent rear QR and a Tuggnut on the non driveside.

    +1 for Bahco sets

Had a 1/4″ set for 5-6 years and it’s been rock solid.
Bought a 3/8″ and 1/2″ set when Toolstop were doing them cheap.
There was a PSA on here about them at the time.

Definitely do not buy cheap if you can help it.

    Edit:
    1/4″ good upto 13mm
    3/8″ from 10-25mm
1/2″ say 17mm or so upwards

The imperial size relates to the ratchet/socket drive size.

Just finished putting the wheels on mine, incredible value for money.
Not sure wether or not to keep the spanners, mind you every man needs a 32mm spanner :D

I honestly didn’t realise they had the internet where you were going.
Just trying to find someone to talk to on the climbs

Are you sure it’s not the rear dropouts/swapouts?
If the bolts holding them on are slightly too long then that will cause creaking under power.
It was a known fault with the Scandal swap out frames and they use the same dropouts.
I’ve got both but have yet to SS my Lurcher.

    Hi Tallie,
Me and John did that route on Sunday (and got drenched riding back up Butser Hill), unfortunately I’ve got work so can’t join in tomorrow.
    Do you live in Hillhead?
I’m only in Stubbington and regularly go out riding with John weeknights and on Sundays.
Send me an email if you fancy a ride another time.
    cheers

You should be fine for at least 3 cassettes worth of changes I’d have thought.
But it all depends on how long you’ve spent grinding away in that gear.
    IMO

    My new Solaris build.
Large frame from mickeyb0305 off of here.
Great fun, possible a bit on the small side for me though

Dez, email the Portsmouth Evening News they love this sort of stuff.
Probably get a better response then from the council alone.

Had another look through this thread last night and decided to upgrade from my Woden 188.
A quick search on Gumtree and I’m now the proud owner of this:IMG_0726 by bigshep28[/url], on Flickr[

The bloke was asking £50, but I bid him £40 and he accepted :D
A quick wire brush and grease and I reckon she’ll be as good as new.
    £600 in Machine Mart 8O

Edit: Aargh how do you get Flickr links to work again?

Really? Keeper has lost them this game, really weak on all goals.

I was getting at the fact it was goal from open play without any refereeing assistance

So I went with the CXP33 rims on 105 hubs as when I looked into it a bit more they seemed to be the better option for my weight

So, finally met up with John for a trip up to QECP. Great little ride around ruined by the forestry works, but hopefully they will be gone soon and all routes will be re-opened.
The Fiesta episode was funny as John says, fitting my 6’8″ frame into his front seat which was mostly forward was uncomfortable to say the least
I think Johns paid me too much respect as our bikes are vastly different, needless to say I couldn’t keep up with him on the downs.
Good time though and fingers crossed I’ll be able to meet up for a few more rides as and when the Guv’nor gives me the time off.
    Cheers John

For a road helmet I use a Specialized S3 which go up to around 63cm.
For mtb use a Bell Super which is at least as big.
The spesh can be had for half price once in a while when they do their helmet amnesty things.

    +1 for what ski said.
We took our 4 yr old twins there last month for 4 days and had a great time.
I’ve promised them they can go back in a couple of years, by which time they could go on a lot more rides/not need pushing around.
If you get enjoyment from seeing your kids enjoy themselves them I’m sure you’ll have a great time.

I average 28-30mpg in mine around town, but got 35 going to Eurodisney the other month.
As a family we wouldn’t be without it, not very quick(54 reg, 163bhp) but extremely comfortable and safe(or so I believe).
Tried a manual and apart from the initial responsiveness when pulling away could see no reason to get it.
