You mean to say that not all bike shops fit parts you buy from them for free?

My LBS are fitting my new Hope PF41 BB for free and gave me 10% off RRP.

    Just saying like :D

Cheers Scott, any chance you can put me and John Nicholson in the “more crash than dash” team alongside Iain?

Be good to see you there and put a face to the name, been doing a fair bit of riding with the above up at QE and really appreciate all the work you and the Trail Collective have put in. :D

Does anyone have an idea how often the entries list is updated?
Booked a spot yesterday morning but not on the list?

Alternatively would a secondhand RP23 be better?
One in the classifieds 200×50 for £80, the recommended size for the frame is 200×51, 1mm won’t matter right?

    Cheers

What forks are you using, and where did you get them.
Looking at some new ones for a FS build that are 120mm.

I’m 6’8″ and 3/4 of my jeans are from next, the rest from TK maxx.
The same as everyone else it seems…

I was told they weren’t allowed to be shipped to the UK. Thanks bike discount!

News to me, they’ve taken the money and not said anything like that…

Still not had an email to say it’s been shipped though, did you speak to them or order and get told?

    I assume you’re a giant?

    6’8” 8)

Going to get a set of Hope Enduros for it so I’ll get the rear adaptor at the same time.

Cheers all, looks like it’s going to be fun

    Cheers for the heads up.

Just bought a 23″ frame and the cheap Triad shock.

Just a quick question, where will I get the bushings to fit both together?
Or will they work as is?

Looks to be a cheap way into a FS 29er…

Now to look at reviews to see if they’re any good

Bikebouy, you surprise me. Never knew you had an XC90?

We’ve got a D5 auto, and following on from what the majority has said the auto box is great.

Would love to get an XC60 for the wife once she kills her Honda CRV.

Never thought to look at those.
Showing as over £1100 with a CCDB, which is over £300 dearer and it would still need importing and all the fees associated with that.
Or have I missed something and a UK dealer has stock?

    I’d try Inksters in Bedhampton ( http://www.logcabinsonline.co.uk )

I’ve spent many an hour trawling through the masses of odd timber bits there.

Very helpful and won’t rip your arm off like Sydenhams will.

Their website just shows the log cabins, but they have a big old shed full of wood.

I paid nearer £40m2 when the back of our house got done last year.

That was using Lime mortar though and the finish was Struck rather than bucket handled.

This happens all the time in the music industry, it does look shady from the outside but that’s just the way it is…
Punters pay with cash, promotor gets cash from venue, promotor pays artist in cash.
There is always an invoice and receipt generated.
As long as she’s working for one of the big companies then I’d not worry one bit. Its not a job I’d like. The hours and pay are crap to begin with but like anything it can lead to some great jobs that pay well.

We have a mk 2, really good IMO.
It came on holiday and spent most of the time belting out tunes by the pool.
Battery times were spot on from memory also.
Don’t be put off by the size it’s really quite pokey.

    I’ve recently bought a Stihl SH86 C-E from Toolbritannia.
It’s the vac/blower one with the “easy start”. It must be easy as the wife uses it almost as much as me.
Excellent piece of kit, saves loads of time clearing leaves from the drive , lawn etc.
Their price was the best by a long way, so good my brother in law bought one from them after seeing mine.
I’ve also got a discount code for them if you decide to get one.
Email in profile if needed :D

My twins are 5 this week and want a new scooter for their birthday.
I showed them the Maxi Micro and the 2 wheeled Micro Sprite, the 2 wheeled one is what they want.
It’s what all the big kids at school use, so the bigger version of what they’ve got was instantly discounted.
Also the 2 wheeler is £20 less, which is handy.

Again I can’t help with changing the battery, I’m just amazed you’ve had it working long enough to kill the battery.
Mine died after water started getting in through the charging port. It would randomly turn itself off mid ride and back on in the middle of the night!
Good while it lasted though

As Johnj2000 said, my Pro 2 hub split straight across.
Phoned Hope Monday morning, they said send back for replacement.
I said the hub was circa 8yrs old and I no longer had a receipt, thats fine the bloke said!
Received a brand new 40T engagement Evo hub and new freehub on the Thursday.
    Excellent customer service IMO :D

I don’t bother to read magazines for reviews so I can’t compare to what they’ve said.
I love mine though and I’ve come to it from a Scandal 29er, so very well thought of frame with exactly the same geometry.
The Lurcher rides so much nicer in my opinion, with no back ache at the end a ride any longer. The Scandal was too harsh for my liking.

Wild Bean Cafe were doing decent metal ones for around a fiver, including a large hot drink of your choice.
Loads of lads at work have them, one blokes even stopped using his massively expensive Bodum mug in favour of one.
