Try getting the dog to sit at the side of the road if she/ he sits still and calm then give them a treat…after you and the dog are happy walk slow and try to distract the dog by talking to it and making a fuss. Keep stopping and fussing it until there happy…it will take time but worth doing.

you can tax a car on the dvla web site at any time as long as you got the right info…my dads car was left in storage as they were away, before they got home I taxed it for him mid of the mth but he got charged for the full mth…not sure why you can not do it…granted the disk will not get posted out till after new year but the ANPR will show you as taxed when it runs the check..

/monksie as for the house on Essex Rd do you have a number, reason I ask is a some body I know lives round the corner and she told me that there is a white van that turns up to one of the houses and there shifting loads of bikes in and out of the van but she is not sure of the house number all she knows is it two sisters poss 3 of them living in the house.

They will come back in a cpl of weeks, have a good look round then take a chance if they think your are in bed or out of the house. We got done twice in 8 mth both times they were seen on CCTV and house alarms went off, second time took them over an hr to get in. Best bet is a baby monitor next to your bed and one in side the garage, alarm and make sure they are locked up, also pille stuff up in front of the bikes so they have to move stuff.

My bikes are no longer kept at home Because of this. I pay £20 per mth to keep them at a secure lock up with 24hr security.

See loads like that..we have been on 3 cruise and never been on any as bad as that.

got them on my camber seem ok…turning them tubless next week. did notice a little slip on wet roots (front end) but i was running them at 40psi…but i like them.

Saris solo will not fit a Mazda 6 hatch back the straps are to short as I found out this week.
Iv got a roof mount and a halfords rear high mount…..I use the halfords rack for local ish rides…if we are going on trips were I need boot space I usetheroof mount.

Disagree with the comments over wheelies they were great with me…ordered my bike, a command post and lights, took a week for it to turn up. But every thing I asked for I got.

Last year I was followed home from a night ride seen a silver car driving slow behind me.
Took them on a detour they followed me to the local woods I can out round the back of them and made it home could not see the car,,,two days later I get home from work and bikes were gone…

Look in the manual that come with the bike will explane how to set them up…

Iv got CCTV on my shed…when they robbed it they were looking at the cameras..huds up tight so you could not make them out very well….I would also fit a good alarm or try and connect to your house alarm if you have got one fitted.

I got feed up with it after the 3rd show…not watched it since. It’s crap.

I feel for you mate…now last October I had 2 bikes stolen in reddish and on the 24th last Friday I had my replacement bike stolen….there must be a connection ?

Easygirl….my mate Phoned his station for me and asked them to get hold of some body. Turns out the case file had not been filled in by attending officer on the morning and he is on leave for 2weeks, so some body is going to call me back.

easygirl…..2 of my mates are in the force…iv spoken to one of them and he said the same as you…I have called 101 and they told me some body will phone me back…but I’m not holding my breath..I’m going to my local station later well it’s not local as are local station has been closed down. I think it’s the new station just off Ashton old road about 20mins away.

She knows a mate of my son I have address been trying to get the police for the last 2days but there on arsed there have not even turned up for CCTV or frame number all the took was its black. Going to log a complaint later today.

An update….Got a lead on my bike yesterday…a girl phoned me and said she had seen it sold ..she was going to arrange for me to see the the bike to confirm its mine….but she is very scared as the lads that stolen it live on her street (pinninton road just off chapman street) she give me the impression that I could get the bike back but she is now to scared to give me any more info. So I t looks like its gone.

I have phoned the police but as the still have not turned up to collect the CCTV or frame number or bike info I’m not hopefull I will see it.

Bike has been sold for £300 iv been told also the people that stolen the bike are from pinninton road in gorton Manchester…..I’m waiting or hoping for a name later on today. Fingers crossed. And contact info for the person the payed £300 for the bike.

Thanks chaps iv got an 8×6 shed with alarm wired to the house but they just smashed there way in. To get the bike out and this was with the alarm going off.

yep was out of sight…police seem to think I was followed home from a night ride…..CCTV has picked them up and it took the an hr to get in to the shed before alarms went off.

I work round there – ill keep an eye out….it will no doubt end up in the Ryder Brow Estate
