    If they are like this:

    P&P mount

Then yep – adaptors for normal guards – hope that helps!

Was with my mate when he picked up his sequoia from the LBS – apparently spesh plug and play guards for sequoia’s are due in uk Jan ’17

Ring things are to fit to the p&p mounts to allow normal guards to be fitted

I’m the same. I prefer a flat-top bar (got them on my Diverge)

Went for the Alu Bonty ones:

    Bonty Bars

Looking at Carbon ones like you’ve linked for my new Roubaix SL4 disc

EDIT – I run the tape to the “start” of the flat, so round the last bend. Seems comfy enough.

    Same as JoB.

My allez was a 56cm. Now got a 56cm Diverge and spot on.

Have recently acquired a 56 Roubaix SL4 disc and feels same as the Diverge.

I used to fix them! (Needed a lot of maintenance too – they are used pretty heavily!)

Dassault Falcon 20 – quite heavily modified, used for target towing and electronic warfare training (with hawks)

The token alu ones are a bit deeper than stock shimano ones.

    Got mine from eBay

That collar provides the self-extraction mechanism. As you unwind the crank bolt (8mm Hex) it butts against the collar and forces crank off the BB axle. (SRAM used to use an 8mm hex with a 14mm hex on the collar – now they use a peg spanner for the collar)

Pop a slather of grease under the collar (to reduce friction whilst undoing 8mm hex) and re-fit it.

You’ll see the hex bolt has a shaped head that will match with the inside of the collar.

The arrow direction relates to the 8mm hex bolt – not the collar! As you undo the hex, it will “tighten” the collar due to the collar having a LH thread – if it was a RH thread on the collar that would unwind from the crank arm as you unwind the 8mm hex – make sense? (that’s where the grease comes in too – all the torque you are applying then goes into the removal of the arm rather than friction between the bolt head and the collar!)

If you’ve heard a crack you’ve probably broken the Loctite – but the cranks won’t come off until you refitted the collar. Nip the 8mm hex back up, refit the collar and try again……..

FWIW – they are bloody tight! I use a breaker bar, but an old pair of bars over the end of the 8mm allen key helps too. (until I got rid of the cranks………)

    Hope that helps!

I’ve only ever bought one frame from PX / OO and that was fine – however, seeing the London road seat tube issues I’m wary…….

That’s good to know – thanks!

Nathb – yeah, I’ve seen the CR-3, but looks like they don’t do a frame-only option now?

    Did you buy yours direct?

To clarify – I want to source a frame to hang the group set and wheels I currently have – not to buy a complete new bike (or buy one and strip…….)

FD – that’s an Alu Defy – probably not much difference between that and my Diverge?

    A

FD – Where have you seen a carbon defy for £840?

Got a Diverge A1 at the mo – full 105 hydro set up, carbon Cobl-Gbr post, kinesis cx-lite wheels (1600g) – so the frame seems a sensible place to drop weight – the A1 frame is the old secteur, which was a bit portly…..

At the moment the PX is the one I’m more likely to go for – it’s just taking that risk of what I’d get in the box – they say could be decal issues, or patchy lacquer – or something completely different?! Suppose I’m over cautious given the London Road seat tube debacle….

    Ummmm, maybe………

I “just” managed to by slackening off the braze-on bolt and swinging mech around and carefully (fiddly) slotted it behind the mech.

Managed to do that without needing to re-index it all.

Nah – I haven’t checked out my nips yet! Although – could be worth it. Was dubious about the longevity of them given the reviews before I bought the wheels!

Mines only had issues the once – running 5.10 firmware, not gotten round to rolling back yet – will report back on how easy/hard it is……

Mine did exactly the same two weeks ago before I set off for a century on the road bike.

Turned on/off about 5 times before I set off.

Quick factory reset/wipe worked out ok, then 1/2 mile from home it switched off!? Managed to recover data by plugging into PC so didn’t lose the ride, and have ridden since with no issues, but a bit worried it’s on it’s way out.

How old is yours? Mines 18months.

EDIT – and a mates one has done the same within the last month – turned off mid ride 3 times.

Looking at a customed engraved cap.

    Stash tank user here.

Been using it since last year – bought it to do mayhem solo without a pack.

Been using it with a backbottle quite happily. Have stitched in a line of velcro to close middle pocket to keep keys and phone safe.

Bit warm/sweaty but not too bad.

Only thing I couldn’t get on with was using a bladder in it – pulled the neck/collar tight into my neck/throat area and was a bit uncomfortable, so have used it with a backbottle ever since.

    Ideal for local short blasts!

    Hope that helps,

SJS cycles are showing stock of the pairs coming in this week – £10 premium over a single clamp but depends how quick you want them vs how much you are prepared to pay!

    Ugly as hell but comfy!!

I did a 100miler just after I bought the bike with the ally post – got the COBL-GOBLR on eBay (a takeoff one – was new) a few months later and did another 100miler later that month – big difference!

    Diverge owner here!

2015 basic A1 (black and blue one) – however stripped it and sold wheels/groupset and spyres and fitted Kinesis crosslight V3 wheels and a full 105 5800 11speed groupset and a bargain (from the Germans) set of RS685 hydro brakes.
Also picked up a COBL-GOBLR seatpost off eBay

    5′ 10″ on a 56cm frame with 100mm stem. Running 28c’s on the wheels
Mega chuffed with it – ridden it more than the MTB (mainly due to work/kids etc) and have done a good few 100milers on it.

Doing 300k on it next weekend.

    Normal!

Got the same style headsets on my Camber and Epic and both have a gap – even with stock headset or replacement cane-creek one.

Almost looks like the bearing seat at top of head tube could be machined deeper, but haven’t had any issues over past 3 years with the gap….

Spent a few years repeatedly going out to Madrid for work (stayed in Madrid but was out at the big Airbus site at Getafe)

I liked staying at the Vincci Soho – just a 3 min walk off Sol Plaza

Nice place – clean and modern. Quiet too.

    Just updating for Sheck:

Two long rides in now – brakes feel awesome. Just as I hoped they’d feel when I first got them.

Less lever travel, firmer feel and quicker bite.

    Happy days.

Newer hoods feel better too – no sloppiness. Would love to see how bikepimp fitted them without disconnecting – although I still needed to do it as I wanted to changes hoses anyway!!
