I swear by Superstar pads on my M4’s for two reasons;

Firstly, I’m a tight northerner and refuse to pay for ‘genuine’ pads.

Secondly, the pads from Superstar are superb! I’ve only ever used the sintered pads, had the same set on my DH bike since April and they’ve got loads of life left. That includes riding most weekends and a week at Fort Bill, and they’ve never ever let me down. Providing you bed them in properly they’re spot on…and cheap! ;)

Hamsterley is superb, did my first race there in October, such a variety of stuff there. Forest of Dean is fun but tame, good all the same. Tomorrow will by my first time at Cwmcarn, so can’t comment on that. Favourite place is Fort William by a country mile though, it’s a different level of downhill haha! If Aston Hill had an uplift it’d be awesome, but the tracks make up for the push up.

Out of interest, what is Anthur Stiniog like?

As a downhiller I’m a huge fan of uplifts! My local trail is Aston Hill so I’m used to a killer push up, but that makes an uplift a nice treat haha! Anyone on here uplifting at Cwmcarn tomorrow? Me and 4 mates are booked on, so say hello! (We’ll be the knackered ugly bunch)

I paid him a couple of quid for some avid calliper parts (not ‘gift’ cos I’m cool) and got a refund a couple of days later, said “sorry, I can’t find them”. Thought nothing of it, then tonight got the following email;

This is a general email to those that have received a paypal money request from my email account.

In the last few days a hacker accessed my email and paypal accounts, requesting paypal money from you. If you have received any emails from my email account in the last week, please ignore and delete them. Do not send any money using paypal gift.

I was made aware that the hacker was selling bike goods at a forum called singletrackworld, specifically this forum post:

I don’t know how this has happened, but I have only just been able to gain access to my paypal account and have seen all the damage that has been done. A hacker has been masquerading as myself and using my accounts to extract money using paypal gift. I have been in contact with paypal and they are investigating. In the meantime I have managed to issue full refunds to all 67 people who were affected.
