You have my sympathy. I lost a friend to suicide a few years ago and had similar thoughts and feelings that you’re having. Talking about it to family/friends/forum users really helps.

Like boblo I bought a refurbished Humax Freesat box from their website. Although Sky did keep phoning me with cheaper and cheaper offers it was still more expensive over the long run.

We were there. Thankfully my SO has had flu over Christmas as our plan was to arrive for the evening show at lunchtime and spend the afternoon mooching around Liverpool so our car would have been in that car park. Due to her flu we only turned up at 6pm to be turned away from the car park. Lots of people still arriving on foot. We ended up double checking what was going on, that the show had been cancelled and then set off home again.

We’ve got an AEG induction hob (with gas wok ring), extractor, ovens and microwave combi. We’ve had them 3 years with no issues so far.

She has my sympathies. I had it earlier this year. It felt like my shoulder/arm was broken and lasted several days before it eased off to levels where I could function again. I just couldn’t get comfortable or sleep properly. To manage the pain I found that taking paracetamol and ibuprofen at the same time helped.

We haven’t bought anything yet and were planning on going this afternoon. Hopefully everyone will have panic shopped earlier and we won’t have to queue.

I have no clue about this but do have a couple of questions. I’ll watch the documentaries listed above later.

Is the income from mining virtually guaranteed for a certain hardware setup until it tapers off?

Secondly, what happens to your blockchain machine(s) once the mining income has tapered off? Do you just switch them off or is there some money to be made by acting as a blockchain machine?

I often have this in reverse when sending to the US. Royal Mail tracking is excellent up until it arrives in the US and then it can get patchy. Sometimes good sometimes nothing until a delivered notice.

Another very happy OP3 owner here. No issues at all. No plans to upgrade but if I broke it then I’d def buy a 5T.

If I want to turn the lights off I’ll get up, walk over and use the switch.

Old school bruv. And you can’t pretend you’re Tony Stark talking to Jarvis.

The new Echo has a smart hub built in now, not sure if the new Dot does

I think so, at least I can control things from mine without the need of other hubs.

I assumed it was some clever automatic thing you’d set up but you actually type it, apparently without fail? – that’s genuinely remarkable

I’ve ordered a couple of these Xiaomi Yeelights from Gearbest for about £9 each. No hub needed apparently as they will work directly with Alexa. Also a couple of their RGBW bulbs too. Will report back when they arrive if they don’t burn my house down.

But regarding the OP, it shows the type of person who buy an e-bike..

Very successful and famous multi millionaire types you mean? I fit right in 🙂

We all agree that the current forum is rubbish and needs an update.

Sorry, I must have been out when you called round to canvass my opinion.

My parents were struggling until I connected their adsl filter and router into their master socket. Check you haven’t got your router on an extension.

I’ve been thinking about having a go at making my own sausages as the SO keeps banging on about how unhealthy they are (perhaps it’s just the amount I eat) so thought I could use premium ingredients.

Anyone make their own and if so how do I go about making some for myself?

Why, do you have a nomination? You can’t mean this one shirley, it’s been ace.
    Agreed. We’ve had:

    Flounces
    Reverse Flounces
    Legal beagles
    Gifs
    Charity donations
    Nazi references
People believing adverts are real programs
    Belief systems colliding
    Etc

    It’s been great.

Don’t forget we also actually got to gaze at the BAN HAMMER!

Micks mate is legally on the line for the lot
So what’s the problem with that?

I think the problem is that the finance company may struggle to recover the car if Mick’s mate defaults on the payments as Mick’s mate wouldn’t have the car in his possession.

So is ‘fronting’ or an “accommodation deal” OK between partners in a relationship? I imagine there must be lots of households where one partner works and one partner doesn’t but needs a car to ferry kids about, do the shopping etc. so the working partner applies for the car as the other doesn’t have an income.

We’re rightly proud of our history and our traditions, but we’re quite clear that the Masonic Order of Knights Templar has no direct links with the medieval Order – although our regalia is based on the clothing worn by them, and our ceremonies recall the history and activities of that Order.

Summary: we like dressing up and inventing odd ceremonies.

Summary: we’d like to be one of the Knights Templar but we haven’t been invited so we’ve made our own club.

    Thanks for the replies.

That Broadlink Controller looks interesting once they’ve fixed their Alexa skill as I’ll hopefully be able to control the LED strips in the kitchen without having to replace them for wifi versions.

I thought mine was working with Spotify & Sonos but it’s not working this evening so perhaps I got it wrong. I can only play Spotify on my Dot as it just keeps saying ‘I can’t find songs by xxxx’ if I ask for it to play an artist on a Sonos. Hopefully they’ll have it sorted soon.

I can control the volume and stop and start what’s already playing.

Thanks for the replies to my question. My Sonos speaker is on top of one of the kitchen cupboards so I guess I could put the Echo Dot up there too if it wasn’t too far away to hear voice commands and use a cable to connect it to Sonos until the wireless connectivity comes out.
