Die hard flats rider & made the switch?

I used to only ride flats when I was younger. Made the switch they are much better and clipping out is not a problem; clipping back in was the hardest part.

the gear box itself fantastic. just a shame it has a grip shift shifter and even more of a shame it has to go on a gopping nicolai frame.

Thread hijack – how does the frame weight of the mega compare to the frame weight of a saracen ariel?

It’s only doping cheating if your caught.

    alex222

So if say the FA got wind of the Spanish football team being part of a doping ring; the UCI getting wind of a bunch of cyclists in a doping ring and the tennis governing body got wind of some big name players in a doping ring (all the same doping ring) is it not essential that each governing bodies stance on doping is the same? Lots of cyclists get called cheats dopers and get bans etc; lots of footballers no one says a thing as the FA don’t care same with tennis players.

I don’t know where I am going with this but I’m going somewhere

    No it shouldn’t

David Millar being a prime example. He did it and said he deeply regrets it so he could get a ride and subsequently onto team GB.

It was a bit of a sweeping generalisation, i know. But i remember turning up at local club for sunday ride and people saying hi, and that was it for 4 hours.

My experience it is the younger racer wannabes that are unfriendly. The veterans seem to be both friendly and borderline insane.

As for team kit – if you’ve earn’t it wear it.

    Surely that implies this –

team kit is for team riders

Technicaly the velominati are open to team kit as long as it matches (inc socks)

I am just being facetious. People wearing kit doesn’t really matter. Though I did spot a fat bloke wearing the rainbows by the side of the road in the TT.

Lets not make the mistakes that roadies have been making for years and not encouraging people to get out and ride.

Funny as almost all ‘roadies’ I know are very friendly and encouraging of new starters.

There is no easy way to see someone you love in a hospice. you just have to bite the bullet and see him/her. Write a note you have to. Stay as long as you are comfortable with.

Being jolly, is difficult. Maybe be respectful. If they want to shoot the breeze then maybe but you may find a person who is incapable of speech and opening their eyes. You may have to talk and hold hands and that is about it. It will be tremendously difficult.

I would strongly recommend writing down all the things that you want to say because it is difficult situation to deal with let alone talk through.

surely swimming is unquestionabkly more ‘olympics’ than bobbling round in a boat for a week though?

Or football, basketball, beach volley ball and tennis

I think the sailing is pretty good especially when Ben AInsley offered the Dane out for a fight.

If you can’t give them time they will become destructive.

JR owned by senior citizens tend to fall into the destructive category because old people can’t give them enough time/exercise.

Jack russels are awesome. If you can give them enough time, like with most breeds of working dogs they don’t go mental.

YOu can see his front wheel swaps all over from the gate, it then gets worse and then rides his tt for a bit then falls off.

In the interview he said ‘yeah it was on purpose’ but because of his German accent you can’t tell his tongue is in his cheek. All of a sudden the prawn sandwhich eating cyclists (that Wiggins mentioned the other day) now are experts and say it unsporting.

    Oh yeah and

And they claim the Germans have no sense of humour

Actually Germans take humour very seriously!

Maybe. I’d argue that it rarely puts anyone else in danger

Cyclist do something stupid, driver try to avoid him, drivers hit pedestrian.

    Not such an unlikely occurence.
