Ellsworth looks like a turn of the century Stinky

Harsh, but not far off the mark 😉

I have used a pair of molegrips in the past, but drilling it works as a last resort.

Have a quick look at the frame I’m selling, the geometry is modern, long low & slack.

I give you the Momentum, quite a looker, as I’m sure you will agree 😉

I own a Ellsworth that I actually quite like the look of even with ridiculously long rocker plates, but both the above are truly awful 😥

NBT, the only 4 arm spider I have is a weird offset, I cant remember why I seem to recall that but I would need to find them to confirm. I have no idea what they are worth but I can’t be arsed to look for them if the answer is not a lot 😉

I could sell you some Mibbleburn RS7’s with or without rings, 170 or 175’s 😆

P20, I notice you have come to this via an on-one 456C, I’m thinking of getting the latter but your switch is worrying me, can you explain why the Soul is better?

    Cheers.

    456 carbon should suit you

    What FS don’t you like?

The bike in question I do like, it even pedals better than any FS I have ever owned, but it is not anywhere near as direct as a HT, I’m not blaming the BIKE, just my lack of riding & suitability of the things I do.

    Cheers.

I should also say that I have loads of 26″ frames in the loft, by all means try to tempt me into your 26″ frame you can’t sell, but for Gods sake keep to the brief 😉

Thanks, but I should also mention that I want something light weight & not dead feeling,

    Cheers.

The way I looked at it was that the Charge would be worth about £100 if I sold it, the cove virtually worthless with the amount of wear it has had, I am emotionally attached to the cove but I doubt I would build it up again & use it, but I might hang it on the wall & smile about it.

Sounds like you want to keep the Cove.

    What else have you got?

Hmmm, nothing less valuable, a Pipedream Ti, Viper 29er, Turner Burner, Azonic propulsion, Azonic jump frame I can’t remember the name of, I need to check what else 😉

Funny as the Stiffee will take an 80mm fork, the duster needs 100mm really 🙂

My rigid Scandel 29er with carbon forks/bars/cranks weighs in at about 20bs, I just can’t grasp how a usable FS could get near that 😕

I just felt the tactics were a bit out of order, a lot of roads around here have gone from being NSL to 30mph purely because people drive at the limit & not to the limit of ability & road conditions 😯

Well the idea was no carbon, & there isn’t a lot of stuff available nowadays that doesn’t use it.

Well to me do it all would be a lot less than 140/150mm, but then again how many people can actually ride a DH bike all day on the trail?

Very disappointed TBH, I thought it would be a CGI version of the original, but it was just a poor cartoon really 🙁

Also got an old dw-flux in the next size down – which I might build back up for more XC at 100mm/100mm.

How is any DW link Turner old?
I still have an original Burner hanging on the wall which has hardly been used 😉

    Bring on the haters,

100mm rear & I’m running 120/150 talas front, as standard it’s 100mm front & rear but I wanted to slacken it a bit more. I’ve never heard much about then, & TBH I still haven’t ridden it properly so can’t comment on the ride, I bought it based on the geometry & it does fit well when I spun it around the block.
looking forward to riding it in the summer.

Tell your eldest that it would be very nice if she gave her old computer to her younger sister as she needs something better than she already has.

In my head I think this would work, but in reality I think I’m just taking something away from her, & what if something happens to the MacBook & she needs something else, do I just buy another as she gave her old one to her sister?

I had my first ever adult eye test at Boots last Saturday, I was honestly so impressed by the level of detail compared to just reading off a chart that I did as a kid, several detailed tests & only £10 for a professional to spend half an hour of their time with me, it was easy to walk away from the “sell” at the end too.

I have two sets in the loft, one all silver with Ti hub, they will make a fine retro build one day*

*Well they are currently attached to a Ti Pipedream with RC31’s & middleburn RS7’s with Hope original mini brakes, I may use it again one day

Just to make you laugh, I was told to remove a leylandi tree & hedge (the “tree” was the last in my hedge that had been allowed to grow in to a whopping 15′, but with a huge circumference as it was regularly crowned) as part of my building regs for an extension, so at great expense I removed it & replaced it with a wall. All good I thought until I got a visit from the council to tell me I had removed a tree in a preservation area without permission. After my vent to the poor guy I was sent a letter telling me not to cut down any more trees on my property without permission, which I didn’t object to as it was the only bloody one!
Moral of the story is don’t rely on one bloke from the council giving you permission, get it in triplicate 😉

I still use keff Ci eggs (better than the standard plastic ones) in white to blend with the white walls, but I suffered with the centre channel & ended up getting an Infinity CC225 which is quite big but has really changed how the dialogue is presented, the best bit though is an old REL Stadium 11 that I picked up ex demo for much cheapness, its that big that I use it as a side table next to the sofa 🙂

Aargh! Please stop perpetuating this urban myth bollocks.

You choose a ‘decent’ charity by investigating those that catch your interest and getting in touch with them.

I’m sorry if I offended you, but living where I do & having to deal with chuggers & do gooders that get paid for their efforts, maybe deserved, maybe not, I’m a bit cynical.
I personally want no pay or expenses for my time, just for it to go to a worthwhile cause, preferably to OAP’s, & there are so many OAP’s that need simple stuff doing, but seemingly no outlet to help them.

I have a Y-cam, but an outdoor one, works well with the Cammy app[/url], I did have a Foscam that was set up to send email alerts on movement (sensitivity adjustable) but it gets very boring having a 1000+ emails a day when it rains.
