Looking west from Morgan’s Hill nature reserve Wiltshire; the dark horizon line is the Cotswold scarp, but directly above the centre of the seat, just above that line, there’s a short white line that looks like a cloud – that’s snow on the top of Bannau Brycheiniog National Park!
No idea what this will grow up to be, but it’s a bit early to be out and about – it’s on my little Hawthorn, which is only just starting to get its leaves coming out.
30 sec exposure on my phone in the back garden, on a GorillaPod; quite happy with it. I’ll have to try out in the countryside away from all the lights.
Today – am I feeding the hedgehogs enough, or not enough? I honestly don’t know how many there are, I’ve only seen one at a time, but I’ve seen six at one time in the past.
Nah, only ever had one, living under the shed. It would pop out and snaffle the suet pellets the birds dropped, but only if we sat very quietly. It disappeared some years ago, probably taken by one of the neighbouring cats.
It’s not unusual to have a hedgehog outside waiting for me to fill the plates up, but sometimes all the plates have been practically licked clean, other times there’s food left, so it’s probably just how many are around at any given time.
