Excellent evening at Sheffield Hallam last night for the 'Conversation with Steve Peat' What a top all round bloke. He was obviously a bit nervous about speaking in front of a large live audience but he soon warmed up and received enthusiatic applause. Nice to see the Worlds runs on a huge screen!

Glad it went off well, was hoping to make it but …

Really is a true hero of cycling.

Clearly nervous, nothing groundbreaking, but great to be in the presence of a proper legend with skills and style for miles.

Was he being interviewed or giving a talk? Having briefly met him at Fort William a couple of times (for autographs!) he seems pretty down to earth and not one to cash in on his celebrity status (unlike the Athertons, who I also like BTW but for different reasons).

Mixed in with videos of race runs, photos etc. Sort of 'this is your life' kind of affair.

Free too. Top notch.

It was a very entertaining night – and the question and answer session was a little less awkward than at the Seasons do at the Showroom.

He did a wheelie when he dropped into the stairs and a skid at the bottom…
