Some little scrote has stolen my office mates seatpost and saddle from his bike. It is a specialized rockhopper A1 comp, 2003 model I believe – do any of you have one of these bikes? And could you please tell me the seatpost diameter so he can order a new one to fit?

30.9 according to the Specialized website.

AlasdairMc – thanks, are you sure though, the ‘information manuals’ section on the website only goes back to 2004/2005 depending upon the model?

yeah I’m sure, go into the archive, then 2002 or 2003 and you’ll find it under tech specs. There wasn’t an A1 Rockhopper in 03, but there was in 02.

AlasdairMc – I didn’t see the archive section, I haev checked out all of the hardtail rockhoppers of about the right age and they all have 30.9 sectposts. Thanks for your help!

All spesh’s have 30.9 as far as I know. Certainly my 2001 enduro did, and my sisters 2002 hardrock.
