I’m eventually going to sell all of my MTB’s as I can no longer ride tem with ease, and whilst I might be able to get out on the road bike, I think I’ll struggle with anything that is proper off road.

I’ve got a shitload to sell, but not enough boxes and not a good enough relationship with any lbs to get some for free.

What’s the done thing, are boxes tge only way?

Most bike shops are willing to give them away for free mate, I’m always rummaging in my lbs bin 🙂

Halfords. They’ll be happy for you to take them away.

Halfords will happily let you have them for free. Use a kids bike box for frames, usually able to get loads of the foam packing with the box too.

Sorry to hear that Paul. As above, Halfords or any large lbs should be able to help you out.

    All the best mate.

It’s a cliche, but I’ve always found a packet of chocolate digestives goes down very well when asking my LBS for a bike box or two.

Bregante, I’m not giving up, just changing my approach. 🙂
