I’ve got a wonky knee and I reckon that I roll my foot when pedalling.
Would platform spd pedals stop this?
Normally ride egg beaters but tried Shimano this morning which felt better .

Might be some helpful info on this thread from last night: http://singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/spd-pedals-with-larger-platform

Equally to do with the shoe.

Try some Mallet 3s if you can.

    Would float help?
Time pedals have a float so your foot/cleat can move as you pedal so are meant to be kinder on knees
You also get some platform versions – at a weight penalty and a price penalty
I have some you can try if you like for postage etc if you cover this as it might be an expensive test if it does not work

I like them FWIW but cannot be certain what it will do for knees
