Macc forest would be the obvious suggestion +/- charity lane type area.

Dark peak (eg ladybower loop or edale/chapel gate/rushup edge/roych Clough/Jacob’s ladder) if you’re looking for a slightly bigger day out.

Yup Macc forest is just up the road, would you like a gpx of an excellent route? Bakewell would be less than 30 mins drive away too.

As its a stag do, What sort of thing are you looking for? How far would you want to go in a car or would you prefer not too? Pub or cafe stop half way?

Easy enough to plot anything form a 15k through to and epic 80k straight from the accommodation. Plenty of climbing to be had, some classic stuff everyone rides and some a bit more not so. Would you want GPX or you ok with a map?

It’ll be mixed ability really so if some want to head back when they’re flagging/want to start on the ale then all the better but some will be up for further. Generally 2 or 3 hours ride at a time maybe? There’s other stuff planned too apparently so can’t go on an all dayer.

I’ll let Carlos sort you out, he’s the man. The Macc forest classic would suit, with pints at the cat n fiddle.

As Jekkyl states, Macc Clasdic would prob fit the bill. I’ll ping you over a few ideas tomorrow that go from the accommodation, then if you want a GPX I’ll dig it out

There’s some, well 2, pretty substantial inclines that might put newbs off. One up to charity lane is off road through the woods and the other is on road. It’s all good fun, it’s a short route so likely well within your 3hr aim, well unless you stay in the cat too long. If you haven’t done Cumberland clough you’re in for a right treat.

Think a tough climb might be welcome to be honest, as long as it gives back on the way down

Closed at the moment, with no indication of when it’ll be open again – I’d plump for The Stanley Arms (just a bit along from the end of The Bottom of the Oven descent).
