Just noticed that a Paypal gift payment of £5 is going to incur a £0.37 fee. Not a deal breaker, but is that something new?? Are there no more free transactions?

There are fees if you pay off your paypal by credit card - if it's done by DD there aren't.

there's always been fees it's just when you send a gift you have a choice to pay them yourself. If you pay for goods the seller pays them.

No fees if you are using money in the PayPal account or funding it from a linked bank account.
