I put 80ml in but can’t here it sloshing around much. Will I die?

I’d take a look, just lever a portion of the tyre off and see.

if it’s all gone, just put some more in.

    If it seals…

80ml is quite a lot isn’t it? Tyres will seal with ~30ml IME, but you want a bit sloshing around in case of punctures. Needs topping up every few months. I always forget.

You could at least point out my basic failings in written English.
It went up with a track pump first time and sealed no problem.

Fitted 29er HD’s to a mates bike yesterday and put in a ‘puddle’ of the stuff that looked about right.

Fitted a 26″ HD to my own bike today and ‘glugged’ in enough to give me roughly the same size of ‘puddle’ as I’ve seen when doing it correctly.

    I go by looks,not quantity ;O)

Is that a ‘tyre half full’ philosophy? 🙂

    2 scoops for a big 26er or a regular 29er. So that’s 4 us fluid oz = 118ml.

80ml would be about right for a regular 2-2.2 26er.

then check every 3 months and top up if needed.

About the same amount I’d use to drown a turtle so about 60ml. 30ml never looks enough.

There’s basically 2 jobs, sealing initially, and staying airtight. You don’t need much to do the former, and it’s totally a ymmv on the latter. In general the more sealant, the more puncture resistance and airtightness. I tend to use about a wee bottle and a half, which I think is 90ml, on a tyre that size but it depends a bit what I’m doing.

2 scoops in a Magic Mary 27.5 for me, so I’d suggest the same.

2 scoops here (done 26″ and 27.5″ HDs, in SG and Snakeskin flavours)

I’d give the tyres a weekly check initially , just a quick slosh around.

Some Schwalbes & Contis weep sealant through the side walls , something you might not notice until you get a puncture because all the sealant has gone.

60ml in mine. Seems to do the job.

Pump up on a Flow EX with a track pump no bother at all.

couple of glugs, similar to puring a large gin.
