    What's the modern equivalent of HeroQuest? Assuming you can't still buy HeroQuest that is.
    A friend is hoping to entice his SOs child into the world of Warhammer and D&D and so on and want's a gentle introduction.

    Outing myself as a nerd here, but Descent: Journeys in the Dark is the most blatant heroquest ripoff you could imagine. Maybe slightly more complex. Less good. Board and figures are better though.

    I'm sure there's a D&D board game, seen it advertised but I don't know anything about it.
