Off for an interview near the station today - any easy to find places for a decent coffee before and/or after?
Hart's Bakery in arches under the road that leads out.
You will also get yourself a selection of awesome sandwiches, sausage rolls, cakes etc.
EDIT: if your interview is in the offices just over the footbridge, there's a Friska there which also does good coffee and a nice soup & flatbread. However, given that BTM is your focal point, Harts would still be my choice.
Forget about the interview, just go to harts and gorge yourself on sausage rolls then get along to playground for coffee on St Nicholas Street along with some of the best cake / baked stuff.
Coffee on arrival, gorging afterwards, especially if it doesn't go well!
Harts doesn't open on a Monday (or, at least, it didn't when I was there).
Yep, it's closed on Sundays and Mondays.
Baristas on Victoria St is excellent
Harts is great for food (not tried the coffee).
I like Pickle (food van on the way towards Queen Square) for a coffee in the morning
Arnolfini for coffee & cake. Also by there is the Mud Dock which does good coffee & food too as well as a well stocked bike shop.
Pickle is a good shout. Arnofini and Mud Dock a bit of a way from BTM! Baristas is decent too.
Good luck OP!
There's a Wetherspoons just opposite.

MCTD - how'd you get on?

He got so disillusioned with the false promise of a non-open bakery, he sacked off the whole day.
From this point on it was a downward spiral into drink, coke and hookers.

QFT
The weirdest thing being interviewed for the job you used to do. Wasn't sure if they were easy on me because I was doing so well, or because they've already decided they don't want me back.
More importantly, grabbed a decent enough coffee and sandwich from some place next to the office.
Greggs?
