Is there any way to take a youtube soundtrack and save it as a music file? I can find a lot of stuff I want on youtube but obviously its video format. I have a downloader for youtube.

Use WinFF. http://winff.org/
Add the video file from Youtube to the list for conversion, and set the output format to audio and MP3.
