I am not sure if we have reached peak consumerism just yet. But I often wonder what happens to all the stuff that gets replaced before it useful life is over. I always have a feeling that there are thousands of top end Specialized languishing in the back of rich people garages that could be put to better use ( no idea why it's Specialized ) Anyway I have been taking advantage of people replacing their TV's ( Much to my 15 year old sons disgust ) and picked up some cracking T.V's £40 Panasonic [img£150 Amazing Pioneer Kuro [imgNow they do use approx 10 x the power of new LCD's of coarse but it would take a lot of use to offset these price differences. Just make sure they have HDMI ports add a Firestick and they are very useful bits of kit. SO.....What second hand bargains are picking up ? I am sure that STW is not so big that we would move the market, so no need to be shy :)

On the flipside, I paid £1250 for a lovely Myryad Mi a few years ago. It really wasn't used much and[s] my wife[/s] we've rejigged the house a bit so recently removed it.
Looked at what they are going for on eBay 😯

Wife has reminded me she has discovered a reliable source of genuine 'posh' handbags in a nearby charity shop.

So she says! There's a very healthy and expensive market for s/h handbags. 🙂

Bought some 18 month old Pikes on here 18 months ago for a couple of hundred, gave them to lbs to drop the travel, lbs sent to fishers, fishers sent back new forks, having seen they were goosed (unbeknown to me, they felt fine) 😀
