I wonder if I could get in on either early 80s pop, or production mountainbikes of the late 80s.

I'd be shit at the general knowledge, unless I got into the celebrity version, maybe as an internet Big Hitter?

What would yours be?

The life and work of tomhoward.

More seriously, I tend to do alright at the general knowledge stuff, so it would just be picking the specialist subject. Given they once let someone have 'series 1 & 2 of 'The Vicar of Dibley' I think I could find a couple.

Mountain biking 1995-present
Gaming on ps2/3

How much time do the punters get to research their subjects?

Apparantly it's much easier if you go for a subject you know nothing about, as you approach it with an open mind.
According to Fred Housego anyway.

So, developments in cycling technology in the 21st century for me then.

Me, I'd probably go with something intellectual, like Red Dwarf or The Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
