Following on from the cheese on toast thread, and the abysmal excuse for one that was my lunch, indulge me with details of the finest sandwichery you have ever encountered.
(I know it's been done before, but I like sandwiches and it's been a while. Plus I want to erase the memory of the abomination that I had for lunch)
Mine? Bacon, Brie, Avocado, tomato, lettuce and cucmuber, with a smattering of mayo, on a soft Ciabatta roll.
Carry on...
Peanut butter,banana and honey .
I like Ham, and coleslaw, with butter, on a nice brown roll.
Tuna sweet corn and mayo with salted peanuts.
Bacon and brown sauce on decent brown bread
thick cut strong cheese, onion and ketchup
Smoked salmon & cream cheese, on thick fluffy bread.
Mature cheddar, beetroot & plum chutney and a rocket salad on home made malted granary milk loaf.
Currently, the simple cheese and tomato sarnie.
BLT with black pepper and mayo on granary, or any other decent bread wi'bits in!
Bacon brie and a sweet onion chutney on a "doorstop" white bread.
Cream cheese, date and mint.
Or peanut butter and brown sauce.
BLT. Granary bread because white is tasteless unless bought from a french bakery.
Or cheese & tomato/onion.
I have said it before, and nothing will ever change my opinion -
Corned Beef and Sweet Pickled Beetroot on Granary.
bacon, egg, melted cheese and chilli sauce from pk's at the turning circle in hebden, happy cholesterol!
Beef, hummus, rocket on granary. No butter.
BLT.
Bacon sausage and egg. Sausages MUST be Debbie & Andrews Perfect Pork, bacon must be rindless back and the egg must be fried and runny.
That or a really good quality burger with mature cheddar
And no rabbit food
Thick cut ham, cream cheese and thinly sliced apple with black pepper, on a poppy seed knot.
Egg mayo ( lots of ground black pepper) with grated extra mature cheddar on French bread.
Awesome!
Fresh white bread (from a bakery not out a bag)
Wiltshire ham
Dijon mustard
Cucumber
Tomato
Light sprinkle of salt
Mayonnaise (full leaded)
Done.
For me, good bread is as (or more) important than the filling.
BLT on toasted granary for me, with mayo.
Philadelphia and Marmite XO.
Or somedays, mature cheddar and strawberry jam.
Pastrami, mustard mayo, pickled gherkins, Leerdammer on homemade granary doorsteps. Best served with a Budweiser Budvar.
Fish fingers, tommy k, done.
Cheese and strawberry jam, perfect for a long ride or walk.
Cheap white bread.
Butter.
Frazzles.
Chicken and chorizo with a bit of marg'.
^Needs carbs^
Fried egg, butter and lashings of lovely salt; on white bread or if feeling fruity, a white cob.
Crusty french stylee baguette with prawns, mayo and cucumber.
I don't like sandwich ... 😆
Warburtons thick white bread, fish fingers, (satisfyingly melted) plastic cheese singles, tomato sauce
Sorted!!! 😀
Jamie Oliver's steak sarnie,
2 x 300g (10½oz) best-quality rump steaks
2 sprigs of fresh thyme
1 ciabatta loaf
A small handful of jarred peppers
A couple of sprigs of fresh flat-leaf parsley
Horseradish sauce, to serve
A large handful of prewashed rocket, to serve
From his 30 min meals book, goes really well with the other courses.
Quality pork sausages, crumbly Lancashire cheese and brown sauce (daddies or HP) betwixt two slices of Warby's finest.
Jamie oliver can stick his rocket up his arris
there is only bacon and fried egg.
dress it up however you want - in its pajamas, in a frilly dress, in its Sunday best.
as long as there's bacon and there's egg.
nom.
Jamie oliver can stick his rocket up his arris
😆
Post ride: Two eggs, ham, potato waffle with melted cheese on brown with lashings of tommy k.
Corned Beef and HP sauce on thick crusty bread
Knuckle.
Better to give than receive.
There's some corkers in this lot! Though none of them feature ciabatta or rocket! 😉
Linda McCartney veggie sausage, mushrooms and hummus in a ciabatta roll.
That's not even food?
