love Dream Theater, though currently listening to a lot of Porcupine Tree 8)
Slayer, AC/DC, Kyuss, Marillion, Propagandhi, Promise Ring, Fugazi, Lucero, Buffalo Tom ......Too many to choose just one.
If I truly had to pick one or two bands who's music consistently moves me and entertains me and makes the hairs on my neck stand up then Elbow and Arcade Fire. Both have that epic yet intimate quality, huge music that still sounds personal and close; I can't describe it any other way. Got tickets for Elbow at the O2 next year, in the standing area. That's going to be quite a gig, first time I'll have been in the arena. Wish I'd got tickets for Arcade Fire there now, after reading the reviews.
The Rembrandts only one marginally poor song in the entirety of their output

My fave band when I was 16, I remember my girlfriend not liking my t-shirt. But that was 1980... things have moved on!!
