That's a good un, they sell it over the road as well. In fact, the biggest thing i will miss about my flat when i move in July is the offy over the road.

Amazing selection of beer.

I might be a bit of a sainsbury's ale drinker (as in only what i find there), but I had a London Pride for the first time in a while, I'd forgotten what a properly all round satisfying beer it is. Schhhhhlurp!

WCA and I once spent a very pleasant evening in the Greenwich Union, sampling most of Meantime's wares. He'd periodically 'phone his wife; 'yes I'm leaving very soon I'll be home at [s]8[/s] [s]9[/s] [s]10[/s] [s]11[/s] 12.....' ๐Ÿ˜€

Not at all, Al. As Julian mentioned above, these threads open the eyes to all sorts! I just have my own preferences. Don't mean I'm always right, mind you! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Mate and I had a surprisingly pleasant 43 mile bimble round the cyclepaths and towpaths this morning, and having decided that we had earned a pint, discovered the village pub had Thornbridge Jaipur IPA on again. Well it would have been rude not to.......

I'm drinking some pretty good homebrew, but all this beer talk has got me thinking about Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. I love IPAs and other dry hopped beers.

I'm sure I've had that here. Someone bought it for me as a multi pack type thing last Christmas. I'll try to find out where it came from. Was rather nice.

Lots of interesting brews here. Just got in from the pub, had a couple of Bank's, really nice flavoursome beer, considering it's only 3.8 ABV. Had a couple of Top Hat's last night, 4.8ABV, and very tasty they were, too.

Corroded - you a former Adelaidean then? I prefer the Dark Ale, but hard to go wrong when most pubs here have Pale on tap whether a 'good' pub or not, beerwise. Way better than Fosters or kronenbourg choice many leave you with in most UK unless you are careful...

Waiting for a box of Australian (mainly South Australian at that) Microbrews to rock up this week - can't wait!

this in the fridge for a bit later...

Oh, and any Aussie based STWers, I recommend http://www.adelaidebiershop.com.au/home.php
for great service, great choice of interesting beers with lots of good SA micros in particular.

Langy, we're emigrating to Adelaide in a month or so. The beer situation is the bit I've been dreading! Posting links like that will get you a drunken kiss! ๐Ÿ˜‰

(Mind you, some of it seems a pit pricey!)
