Watched that earlier, aye fairdos, tough going. I quite like a wee bit of haze, he's alright. He wore shoes going back down Nevis, didn't really notice if he did the same on the other 2?.
Be a lot tougher descending barefoot.

Yes not something I'd try - my feet feel tender after a dozen steps across the patio to hang out some washing !

Used to be thing for a pilgrimage up Croagh Patrick.
We got worse weather for it when we went in '74. I was 8 or 9.

3 hours climbing in the rain, and not a gortex to be seen anywhere....!!!
