The postie has just delivered Irvine Welsh's long awaited and long overdue prequel to Trainspotting..

for the princely sum of £5 I have a big fat hardback copy of Skagboys.. I just need to wring a few quiet moments out of the day to find time to read the little beauty..

I thought about the cashing in element too.............. But wasn't Trainspotting 2 cashing in? The whole bloody movie I spent waiting for the 'deleted scenes' etc and basically Tp2 was TP1 with a few extra scenes at the end, RIP OFF!!

well.. not much time for reading so far this week.. an eight week old baby and a very inquisitive toddler, coupled with an important online showdown have kept me busier than a cat covering shit on a concrete floor..

I'm only up to page 40 after grabbing a few spare moments this morning and I can say that I don't mind if he's cashing in..

so far so good

Marabou Stork Nightmares. Brilliant!

I could hardly read it for shock and laughing in the lead up, and including, the bit where they took a dump on their sleeping (out of it) mate.

lol
