Actually "Fred", it's going well. I've extended the cycling bit of the commute to about 2 hours a day over some steep (for a 3-gear Brommo) gradients in the longer section.
Watching the carb/fat intake, and the waist does actually seem to be shrinking a bit from a worrying 38" last year to a more svelte and sophisticated 36" so far...
