[#5403616]

The rise and fall of threads that speak of our departed brothers with misty-eyed fondness - TJ, TSY, mastiles_fannylion and others - got me thinking...

You've decided STW is no longer for you or you've been banned, for some indiscretion, either relating to a secret underwear fetish or your refusal to be bested in a gigathread.

Would you be missed?

And if so, why? Would it be for your sparkling wit, your photoshop skillz or your deep, Meagi-esque knowledge of the MTB millieu?

If you were to ask any resident user to list 500 user names they could remember, mine would not be on that list. If it was I'd be [s]spending[/s] wasting too much time here.

Hell yeah, my input tunes this forum to perfection.
It's this Yong and Ying of fine balance that stops the whole place dissolving into a mess of fretting, whining ,bored lunatics..

Hold on minute...
Tweaks balance

There - perfect 8)

The only thing I ever seem to be "paged" for is knowledge of potential cycle routes in Scotland (and that was mostly under my previous id). That information is usually available online somewhere so I'm sure folk would soon find it.

So, no.

As far as I've experienced in a decade or more of using chat forums such as this, to be missed you must first be banned for being a prolific and relentless bell end.

Most should therefore take comfort in the likely fact that their departures would pass by unnoticed.

Who'd quietly seethe at the fewer/less issue?

I think anyone who misses people from an internet forum needs to get out more.

Missed? Here? Hell no.

There are (according to the thread) a lot of other tall people to take up the slack.

Nope.

But I think (unusually) JTD is wrong. There are a few I can think of who have gone, who weren't bell-ends.........

.........just a few though 😉

Nothing wrong with the odd self-referential virtual reacharound, Flashy! 😉

In fact, I'm reaching round you as I write. Virtually.
