Surely USA can't have 2022, they only hosted it a few years ago didn't they?

Amateurs compared to Blatter. One man standing in the way of technology for a world wide sport spouting drivel on regular occasions. And Qatar for 2022, come on Ryanair lol

Some of what Qatar are promising & what they are planning to do with stadiums sounds incredible - mildly scary I'll be 45 then....

Ok then lets all get behind the England 2026 bid...

I'm not sure Qatar's bid is entirely environmental given what they propose to do with the stadiums and the population's only 600,000. That's like a small city but with a shedload of cash! I'm not saying we should have had it but it'll be over 50yrs since we did and given our crowds etc I kind of think that seems a little odd.

The earliest England can get it is 2030 IIRC.

with a temp range of 29-46 degree c there wont be much football seen there - perhaps they are building air con stadia?

Apparently Qatar have plans to build outdoor stadia with cool air from to pitch to either 6' or 6m into the air (I can't remember what measurement was quoted!), using solar panels to supply the energy to run the air conditioning fans. They have to do this as fifa rules don't allow world cups to be played indoors.

Will the final match be in a volcano with a secret roof?

Yes. I'm pretty sure for their legacy bit of it they said all the stadiums would be dismantled after the tournament & given to the starving people in Africa.

After the Panorama programe, about corruption, does anyone relaly care a few gangs of lads are going to be playing with a damm football somewhere on this earth, and does it really matter that Russia have probably won it.

Awaits being proved right later this week.

I was right for once, at least it will cost us nothing more, we could spend the cash on gritting the cycle tracks now.

Damn! Does this mean we can't look forward to a re-re-release of that timeless Baddiel and Skinner classic?

I'm sure we can add to their retirement fund - provided we manage to qualify...

I reckon we would have stood a better chance of winning if that **** Beckham had bothered to get a haircut and have a shave:

Scruffy ****!

Football is just useless apart from being parasitic.
