To be honest, if the word you're looking for is so obscure that no-one here can unearth it, it's probably not worth using in the first place.

Oh, and 'wordsmith' is a particularly awful word used mostly in recruitment-speak by ad agencies and print publications run by mouldering ex-Fleet Street hacks ๐Ÿ˜‰

Even if it wasn't the original word, I still maintain that "evangelical" carries the meaning OP is after, in that context.
