Great shout on Biscuit. 🙂

It was only an idle thought, I hadn't even considered people or place names but Chris Rand's site has a list of 'em all.
There'll be hundreds.

Fritillary?
Chandlers?
Mallet?
😀

What with Tom Lehrer and all the rest you'd have to write an opera to get 'em all in.

Made up words surely don't count, I've got a bunch of them off the top of my head - Belispeak, Mirrorage, Sweatmother, Karmacoma, Christiansands, Lazaretto etc etc

Nah, you can't have made up stuff.
That'd be improv, most of The Cocteau Twins and an awful lot of jaaaaaaazz.

I looked on that website and it says Methil: No more.

I'm going to go on a killing spree. Come on people, that's good!

Damn, I'd forgotten that one! Got the original vinyl single somewhere, in fact I've got both of their singles, not sure they ever released any more.
The Halfies are a great source of interesting lyrics which probably don't appear in any other popular music recordings.
Oven gloves is possibly a fairly rare reference, for example.

Singapore, Widnes

Widnes appears in a Belle and Sebastian song. Stars of track and field I think...
