Anyone ever used Dunlop Winter Sport M3 winter tyres?

Was planning on ordering either Wintrac Extremes or the Winter Sport 3D today (£130 a corner), but been offered M3's from a friend of a friend for much less, with 8mm of tread.

They seem to come out as a top tyre HERE, but it's an american website and some of them will vote for Romney, so I can't really trust their judgment.

🙂

^ that's only relevant for tyres manufactured after 1st July 2012.

I'm not quite sure what you mean anyway though?

I've got the wintersport 3Ds on my car and the're spot on. the M3s are just the runflat version of the tyre. They'll be fine, but the ride will be a fair bit harsher.

Normally they say you shouldn't run them without a monitoring system, as you might not notice they've got no air in!

I think the M3 DSST is the runflat version, the ones i'm looking at are just the regular M3s.

Higher performance than the 3D apparently:

Michelin Alpin user here but don't wait too long, prices will only go one way when the snow arrives.
