Hi,
I am lucky enough that after saving all year, to be doing a winter season in Canada. Based in Vancouver, so arguably not the best hills, but still better than the two days on snow last year in Scotland for me!
I've been offered two jobs;
Job a. Lift attendant. Just over $10 an hour, lift pass, about 35hours a week. I've done one day of training there, with another week starting tommorow. I've met a lot of the staff, who are all nice people. I think the transport is slightly better, its a newer resort.
Job b. Supervisor of sledging/restruant. $14 an hour, lift pass. Smaller team, whom I haven't met yet. Not sure on start dates.
The main reason for being here is to ski. I don't like jobs where I have to do the same think, every hour of the day- I prefer variety and challenge. I enjoy doing things, probably more than managing things- allthough I do do both in my other jobs.
I want to enjoy my time out here- so do I take an easier job thats more reptitive, or a harder on thats more rewarding?
Oh, and if anyones done either role before, tell me about your experience please!
