In the past we have used large sand bags, or potato sacks, fill them up mush them in a large bucket and pour out the juice into a demi.

If you have kids, fill a paddling pool and get them to mush them up up with their feet, they will love the fresh grape juice too ๐Ÿ˜‰

Grapes are so easy to work with compared to apples or pears.

We just bung them in the washing machine before hand and the pulp goes in the compost(don't tell the Mrs).

I have never had much luck making wine with white grapes here in the UK, saying that my Red wine varies madly from year to year ๐Ÿ˜‰

Just finished sacking my last batch of grapes this weekend, grapes were very sweet this year, got 15 demi's on the bubble, so fingers crossed, might be a good year?

Have you checked to see if your local Homebrew Shop has a press that they rent out?

Cougar, that is how I remember it being done as a kid ๐Ÿ˜‰

Used to live in a village called North Piddle and my Dad called our home grown stuff 'Chateau Piddle', which at the time caused a real stir with 'Thats Life' and a number of American tourist buses, which picked up on the brew from an inflight magazine of all places.

I remeber the buses turning up & my Dad flinging old bottles at them for free, which they treated like a rare Bordeaux ๐Ÿ˜‰

The wine was undrinkable, total piss water! Made my old man giggle with the thought of all these Americans gonig home and drinking this ditch water ๐Ÿ˜‰

But the parties were amazing ๐Ÿ˜‰
