And yes, slugs are animals. It may have changed since I was taught classification but: life is split into 5 kingdoms - plants, animals, bacteria, fungus and protozoa(? - single cell stuff like algae, I think). So out of those options, pretty sure a slug is an animal.

I found 5 bobbit worms in my reef tank live rock the other week, that was pretty grim.
They were only babbies, but their double jaws are some Aliens 2 level grossitude!

Lary angry things those are. I've met a few out riding and they don't think twice about running at you. Thankfully they are small, imagine if they were sausage dog sized.
