Ok so I've just rooted my android phone for tethering my iPad.
What tethering app do you guys use ?

Also now it's rooted what can I do with my phone that I couldn't before (appart from the tethering bit)
is it not native in the OS/ROM?
I don't know ...how would I find out ?
(I am a bit of a numpty when it comes to this sort of thing)
look for an app in the listings called "Hot spot"
My HTC Desire has a Wi-Fi Hotspot app built in.

For those who don't have a native hotspot I have used "Barnacle" for wifi tethering in the past worked fine with a rooted Htc Hero and IPad 1.
never worked for me 😡
on android 2.3 and above it is in th settings as standard.
Now you are rooted head over to xda developers to enjoy the wonderful world of custom roms. be warned, it gets addictive 🙂
