Anyone got a live stream to the thrashing? 😉

Heat's a great film, if a long drawn out. good guys versus bad guys with the shades of grey subtly intermixed. The great big shoot out is a joy for anyone with surround sound.

good luck to him, and the other fella.

i'm a little frustrated that he's in the best shape of his life, if he'd taken as much care about his weight/fitness when he was a pro cricketer, his career might have been longer/less troubled by injury.

or not, it's easy for me to criticise...

He's going to get the aubergines knocked out of him. There's no substitute for experience in boxing. Fact.

I can think of other, easier ways to seek some attention. Good luck to him, but watching the documentaries, he's fit, and lean, but his technique is gash. don't know if the other guy has been paid to take it easy, if he hasn't it'll be over ion 1 round

be patient, get rid of all the ones with the moving 'x' then go full screen, no more pop ups

Takes big balls to get in the ring especially as a relative novice against a proper boxer. Good luck to them both and I hope nobody gets hurt.

Yes/No/Maybe. He may or may not have done. Hard to say. He was definitely the most talented All Rounder that England have had in a generation or more. He was an awesome presence, with both bat and ball, but at 6ft 5 and almost 20 stone for most of his career, something was always going to give way prematurely, and it was generally his body!

He's now sub 16 stone, and my god I'd like to see him back on a Cricket field with a ball in his hand! I'd bet money he'd be sharper with a ball in his hand right now than he's even been.

Anyway... Good luck to him whatever he's up to, gotta be bloody frustrating giving up the one thing you've always loved because of injury, so finding something else to make you want to get up in the morning is pretty awesome. He may not be a natural talent, but he's a big lad and by the looks of things can throw a big old punch!

So, let me get this straight, chap plays cricket near enough non-stop from a lad to his early 30s, finds himself loved and in the public eye. Then, when he's got nothing better to do, someone pays him to take up a sport he's always loved.

And there's an off switch on the TV?

Sorry, don't geddit....

they've been very canny in who they've picked to fight him. much shorter, so much shorter reach, bet that the last three weeks have been all about stopping a shorter guy geting inside, even so still fancy a very swift knockout of freddie

A friend of mine (>6ft tall) once claimed he could beat Prince Naseem because of his far superior reach. I'd have paid good money to see that one 🙂

Why is he attention seeking? Watched the two docs and he's worked very hard! At least he's not gone down the same route as other "retired" sportsmen. Good on him I say!

Fair play to him, let's face it boxing is not an easy route to go down, until you've been in the ring even just using pads you have no idea just how hard it is!

OK, he did well on all things considered.

Is this a one off or has he got another fight lined up?

Think I'd much rather go for a pint with Freddie than the OP.

Fair play to him I say.

The OP appears to be the English Glupton, but without his charm, warmth, wit and sincerity.

what an attention seeking $*&%

The kind of comment I usually see on AOL every time there's a story about Katie Price.
