me for one
the subjects they'd have to attack would be unlimited . I wonder whether there was a political reason that the series was stopped. there are so many c***s on the political stage , even if we can't oust them I'd love them to be thoroughly embarrased by satire .
I'm not sure, I mean, some of it was very hit and miss- some sketches were acidly accurate though. I thought that in their duty to be fair and slag off everyone equally they sometimes picked on soft targets-the appearance of some politicians being the obvious thing. Some people in power DESERVE to be critisized more than others. The satirical impact of Roy Hattersly's spittle isn't in the same league as the evils of apartheid South Africa, or the callousness of the Tories at their worst.
I have to admit though, that I even felt a wee bit sorry for Leon Britton.
(BTW I have subsequently met a nice South African!)
lol .re i've never met a nice SA ( to those wondering...see youtube )
Another good one was 'Our God is Bigger than Your God!'
LOL it was great but times move on.
