Yup, on the south coast here, just a bit more blustery than normal.
No records being set here, it was pretty much blowing in all directions.
Head to toe in waterproofs as usual!
After a 52 mile Sportive on Sunday and 22 miles last night I didn't fancy 22 miles into a headwind so I got the train instead. I had forgotten that London Midland are both useless and robbers. It will be back to the bike tomorrow.
Hold on, what is this tail wind you all mention?
It was a nasty head wind on the way in and I'm willing to bet it will be a nasty head wind on the way back.
took me about 8 minutes longer to get in this morning. riding into the wind is no fun...the wind seems to have died down now and the sun is out...not sure what it'll be like on the way home...but it will be interesting!!
Was fine for me this morning, bit swirly at times, but mostly seemed to be behind me. 5 minutes after I got to work it took a turn for the (much) worse, but looks to be fining up again now and forecast is ok for later 🙂
I'm on late shift this week so still at home at the moment but I will be braving it on the bike.. Will be fine (hopefully).
I got soaked then covered in mud, was a great ride, the showers at work were a bit of a state when I got in!
Rode in, dry and blustery, head wind all the way down Hope Street, here in Liverpool. Brought me to a standstill by the Cathedral.
Not yet, but my new Cube Hyde Race commuter arrives this week so come Monday I'll no longer be a bus w@nker! Just in time for this bloody hurricane too! 😀
Nup... thankfully still in my PJs 😀
I'm off for a roll along the seafront in a bit though, should be fun
Yeah. Bit blowy, but nothing major.
Suns out now but no way would I consider chancing anything in the wind thats still nuts and gusting
"but no way would I consider chancing anything in the wind "
what exactly would you be "chancing" ? its just a bit blawwy. or do you commute over the forth road bridge in a Hi top transit 😉
I'm glad that it's scheduled to die down by tomorrow.. I'm not a fan of using the trailer in this sort of weather, always makes me a bit nervous

Considering it hasn't dropped below 40mph yet since 3am and it's showing peaks of 62mph - you decide...
ok so you wont be doing the redbull rampage on the way to work but so longas you dont have horas mythical slab sided forks its not going to blow you away at that ....
you live on dun fell ? ?
looks like it was recording 84mph peaks on cairngorm today
Tell that to the two wheelie bins that went past the window earlier!
One of which is still embedded in the neighbours fence!
(not my bins by the way 😛 )
im quite worried my bonnet off the landy has taken off down the field next door ill be honest....
it was just laying on top of the chassis :S
Cycled to work yesterday. Today I'm doing it for fun.
Given that work would have involved hanging off the side of a 100m tall building on the South coast, my morning commute involved putting my slippers on to walk downstairs to the kitchen....
