[#8316763]

So do you feel that every thread you enter anything on ends at that point ?

I fully expect this to be a single post and disappear within a matter of hours

I'm sure we had a threadkiller thread only a couple of years ago.

Yep, it was HTS 6 years ago! Doesn't time fly when you're wasting time on a mountain bike forum?

I deliberately seek out the most dull and uninteresting threads, where all the nobodies gather, in the hope of going unnoticed.

It seems to happen to me on occasion too. I normally post something surreal or amusing (to me) and all goes dark. Alas, all threads must pass ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

I'm still pissed off my excited thread about the new for new foru.m has been locked because some moderator type decided to steal my glory and start their own, more than 24 hours after it was started.

They could have just changed the title.

I seem to be quite good at shutting threads down. Not because they get closed, but because no one replies after I post... (Waits for the deafening silence...)

I often check my "Forum Activity" list. I think the best (worst) I have seen is 6 of the 18 threads listed as having had no activity after I had posted on them.

Beat that ๐Ÿ™‚

PS currently showing only 2 but fully expect this to be number 3

FFS I consider it a badge of honour when my incisive and definitive post concludes a thread.

I had one thread killer, signed by a nice moderator who banned me, so i wrote an elequent well researched request to stay alive and i was then resusitated.

Many, and the thread killer thread from a few years ago. Not HTS' one but the rehash the next year. I guess there's a level banality in what I post!

I started a self-indulgent thread about exactly this question just before the Great Hack, and only got one, rather sarcastic, response.

I am not a thread killer; I commit war crimes against threads.

Come and play on the Political threads, we keep posting the same stuff again and again and they never end, or is it they just feel that way ?

Yeah, I'm not too shabby at this.

IIRC I responded to a couple of McMoonter's threads and that was that.

One about a frankenmower...

Isn't it really complimentary to end a thread? As in your comment says it all and no one can better it?
