I went off for a ride this evening, saw no-one on the trails, I heard the first cuckoo, rode through a wood of bluebells, and cleared all the major climbs ....... what a day! ๐Ÿ˜€

We have a box of eggs from mrs deadly's dad's bantams. Just deciding between omelette or plain old scrambled eggs on toast for supper ๐Ÿ™‚

Rode 60 miles from Bromsgrove down to the Malverns and back this morning - wonderful weather for it...not too hot, not too cold. Brunch at the Malvern Hills Hotel (with a cheeky half of something wonderful).

Evening walk with Molly in the cemetery, all over her incident on Friday - wounds healing up nicely

2 weeks today I'll be 3 days and 200 miles into the E2E. Assuming the whiney cock bags which do trains allow our bikes to join us on the journey to Lands End.

Hmm. Should really aim for something like that myself when I get some more miles under my belt. Mainly been go focusing on pumping dem gunz this year really.

My birthday. GF turned up at 9.00 am with card and boxes. Contents: 1 box of chocolate, 1 bottle St Joseph, 1 copper studded Brooks saddle! How cool is that? Then ride to the woods, then on to exquisite village for beer and lunch then back to woods and another pub and back home by 6pm. I am verrrrrry happy.

Watching the youngest boy play football in the am, creosoting the fence AND painting the conservatory in the afternoon.

Aye it's been a great day.......................

Fab day, 95 very hilly miles in scorching sunshine with other stw'ers.

Forgot to tape PR, missed the highlights too, and very nearly missed taping the walking dead too!

Lazy lie in with the wife, then town for coffee, croissant and cycling weekly while wife went to church. Bit of shopping then off to the pub for Paris Roubaix with clubmates. Wife re joins after the race and we have a walk on the beach with chips. Visit parents on way home and finally tuck into lovely roast stuffed pork with creamed cabbage and a balsamic reduction and a couple bottles of red. Could have been worse I guess

No, it's great weather. I'm feeling a lot more upbeat about cycling here after some nice commutes and a fabulous flatland ride yesterday.

Yesterday morning I walked home across the city in the warm morning sun feeling happy and very lucky. Lazed about in exhausted bliss for most of the day before riding up to the hills in the evening sunshine.

saw a sea eagle
finally got a blue egg, well blue'ish, instead of green ones - i know green eggs are unusual, but i got those chickens because i want blue eggs, not green ones
almost finished organising holiday - paddle steamer booked, world's shortest airline flight booked, wreck diving booked,
life is good

Had a lovely weekend.
Saturday: Bit of work on the boat (outside) then met friends at a great pub up in the hills overlooking the Cheshire Plain for a walk with the dogs, back to the pub and had tea outside in the garden - kids had a great time as did we ๐Ÿ™‚
[img] [/img]
Sunday: Biking at 8:30 followed by lawn mowing and rebuilding my rear hub (outside again). Family then on bikes and up to sister in laws house half a mile away for a BBQ, table tennis and a nice amount of wine ๐Ÿ™‚
