But you see we do weekends away and meals without being around Valentines.

There are quite a lot of people with their birthdays at the end of September, start of October - Christmas babies.
But you rarely meet people with birthdays in mid-November, suggesting that Valentine's Day really isn't all it's cracked up to be..

Your joking I know but our youngest is probably a Valentine's baby, the calculation isn't taken from the date of rumpy pumpy.

Went to Cornwall for the weekend and had a lovely time. We made each other cards, don't really do presents. I was happy with my effort until she presented me with a kind of prayer fan arrangement with little pull out collages detailing the reasons why she loves me.... She also made me a 3ft illuminated seahorse for my birthday which was genius. I must buy her a lathe and get her onto bike bits 🙂

I treated the wife to a trip to the dump. Had some black bags down the side of the house that the cats pissed on.

I took the day off work to spend with my better half....

Then managed to be a MASSIVE PRICK at about 11pm last night whilst not getting my way and it took the whole day to sort out, nearly resulted in her walking out 🙁

We're going to try again on Wednesday evening!!!!

We ued to do the usual meal etc but now just do a meal at home. Had several incidents in busy restaurants the last one being won ton soup in my crotch. They're all too overcrowded for our liking. Saying that did a meal at home but managed to overcook the scallops, steak and veg. Went for Chinese takeaway this year and it was dead in there but leaving the place saw how busy KFC was tonight!

All nice to hear. Actually I do quite like it. My GF loved the roses that she wasn't expecting- again. Think when we live together though it will be nicer.

I like Valentine's day.
So what if it is commericalized, doesn't mean you can't celebrate a tradition.
You don't HAVE to spend a load of money, and you're not weak if you do.
I like it, my wife loves it, we like getting each other gifts and spoiling each other on Valentine's day. What's the problem?
And if it gives certain couples the necessary shove they need to put some romance back into their relationships, then it's got to be a good thing hasn't it??
Miserable buggers! 🙂
