Any suggestions for a nice campsite in the southern Peak District? Must be within walking distance of a good food pub. Also needs to be open during the winter.

Thank you for any help.

Edale, one just down road from station and pub. Hayfield too might be an option.

Can recommend upper hurst farm just up the road, very good but don’t know if they do tents. Excellent facilities, the manifold does good food and is a 10-15 minute walk and the George at alstonfield is supposed to be very good, not been though.

Cheers guys. It's for a campervan so Upper Hurst Farm sounds good. I was also looking at the Waterloo Inn if anyone has ever stayed there?

Another vote for Barn Farm, The Red Lion there now also does some good food and brews some fine ales. Maybe not as refined as the Druid, but it would get my vote, but I guess I'm not that refined either.

Royal Oak at Hurdlow. Literally in the pub garden!

I don't think the Barn Farm site is open over the winter
