[Closed] Which website do you use to find your fellow brits when abroad.
As per title really what website should I use if I want to find british people abroad?
OR even better scottish people?
Scottish people? www.aa.org
๐
scottish people is easy, find the local whiskey specialist
english people, well just find the cheapest beer/loosest women in town, they'll be throwing up nearby
Don't bother with websites. Just look for any town abroad with a pub selling Tetley's or a fish and chip shop and they'll all be there.
But Juan, you don't know anyone which you could describe as a "fellow brit"
well not my fellow brits yours griz yours
Unless you could come here for a week end.
Is there a website which will help me avoid Brits when abroad?
lol I have to admit I tend to follow aracers thoughts on this, when abroad I look for places where there are no brits ๐
+1
Well if you're in Switzerland you can try here:

Or head for the nearest "Mr Pickwick" pub...
In what context of meeting Brits abroard?
As a traveller / as an epxat?
Cycling specific or just general?
I'm based in belgium and have no idea to be honest where you'd start here (even though there are hell of a lot of Brits in Brussels)
When travelling, why would I want to find any fellow brits? I do all I can to avoid them.
britishdoggersabroad.com ?
Is aracer the new adamG?
I want o meet brits because I want to keep practicing my english.
juan, is there a similar thing for fellow frenchies over here? My mum has lived here for so long she sound a bit english when she speaks french. I reckon she needs some belote friends...
i posted on here Who is abroad got 100+ replies trawl through them
when I'm abroad I like to avoid my fellow Brits. MrsH excepted, of course.
Julian I don't know to be honest I would look at the staff club on your nearsest university.
I know for sure there is a plenty of french at southampton uni, so shouldn't be too different in the other uni.
I know for sure there is a plenty of french at southampton uni,
Juan, I don't think you are allowed to count your own illegitimate children ๐
Pop over to Molini Juan you can have an english and a welsh person to speak with...and go for a bike ride!
Don't bother, try to integrate with the locals (if you're working abroad is the first rule) if there's a significant expat community you'll soon end up at the British embassy having quiz nights (if in the middle east) or out on the razz (the rest of the world).
Your original question would help if you said where you are going, or do you want to read up on how Scots are continuing to be bigoted on a daily basis?
